Summary: Purchased this dishwasher new three years ago. Looks great, but doesn't fully clean dishes. We use name brand soap and rinse aid, however still find it necessary to thoroughly rinse dishes before running through dishwasher. Based upon our experience, we could not and would not recommend this particular dishwasher.
Summary: We've owned this dishwasher for three years. After year one, we had to replace the pump. After year two, the motor. This year? We don't know yet. It went in to be serviced yesterday. I will never, ever buy another LG dishwasher. Period.
Summary: Nice and quite, attractive fit for my kitchen. Does a poor job of cleaning. I have to pre-rinse my dishes and my silverware. The baskets, top and bottom don't accommodate my dishes and glasses very well even though they are adjustable. Have to be careful putting in soap. An overfill and you cannot close the lid. My 15 year old D/W did a much better job of cleaning though it was pretty noisy.
Summary: 2.5 years from new, HE error indicating sump heater problem: replaced heater element, failed again. All indications are main control unit (PCB) may be faulty, which will result in another $200 outlay, plus another $40 heating element. If this appliance had delivered ten years of faultless service, I might be more forgiving, but if our experience is an indication of reality, run/don't walk away from this POS.
Summary: Love the features, and despite the other reviews does indeed get our dishes clean, including removing lipstick from wine glasses and egg yolk from plates, both notoriously hard to clean. My issue is that the quality/durability of the item is questionable. Ours developed a short in the control panel at 13 months, right after the full warrantee expired.
Summary: I love how quiet the dishwasher is; I can hardly tell that it is running. I am disappointed in how gritty the dishes are coming out. I have tried different rinse aids, and different detergents, but it seems that the dishes are not getting rinsed clean.
Summary: the interior is too dark, the exterior is tough to clean, every fingerprint shows, every drop of water streaks, the old Bosch I had--12 years old was quieter and much easier to load effectively, the dinnerware slots are too narrow, the separators just get in the way. This is making us seriously reconsider any other LG appliance purchases. The dishes are clean, but this is not a happy purchase for our family Too pricey for what we have settled for.
Summary: We found the washer to be awkward to fill when we first got it but have gotten used to it. It's designed even worse than our old Maytag...which, too, was pretty bad. The manual shows a ton of bowls and plates neatly arranged in there which, if you have exactly those types of dishes, surely will work. Unfortunately, there are dozens of sizes and shapes of dishes out there. We can fit about half as much as what the manual shows.
Summary: When i first was researching this dishwasher I had read many good reviews and a FEW bad ones. Now, a year (almost to the day) after i bought it, the web is full of mostly negative reviews. Unfortunately, now I also have to add my own. The motor makes a grinding noise, then stops working, displaying an LE error which isn't listed in any of their manuals or troubleshooting guides. It looks to be a common problem with these machines, the filter breaking.
