Summary: We bought 4 appliances thinking they will match and look really nice. HUGE MISTAKE LG Dishwasher is the BIGGEST piece of crap. It's been services 5 times and LG will not replace it. I have it completely rebuilt with pictures of the repair man and LOTS of boxes of new parts. NOW, it's not working again. LG Microwave - didn't take the warranty but should have (thinking it's only $500, what could go wrong?
Summary: The warranty is only 1 year on labor and 2 years on parts and it's like having a root canal to get them to do anything with regards to the warranty. The first dishwasher lasted 2 months and had to be replaced and that was a 4 week process with 4 visits with a maintenance man, many phone calls and several emails and I ended up installing the dishwasher. The new dishwasher had an oil smell when it was running and was noisy until it died with a L1 error code.
Summary: We replaced a 15 year old dishwasher with this new LG...what a mistake. It cleans OK, but is difficult to load and makes horrible noises. The kids call it the Dish Monster because it is so loud.
Summary: After only a year and two months after purchase of our LG LDS4821ST dishwasher (LG Inverter Direct Drive in stainless), our dishwasher is obviously having a drain pump issue, and thankfully we purchased the service plan at Home Depot. This washer SUCKS. It's become noisy, the panel freaks out and sometimes you cannot choose certain wash cycles, and now this drain pump issue. It's a HUGE piece of shit.
Summary: Wish I would've seen these reviews before buying. Went on advice of Home Dept Appliance Manager. The True Steam Technology dishwasher has been a disaster from day 1. Hard to install. Does NOT effectively clean on normal or quick wash cycle. Called LG Helpline to find out why & their answer was to run it on the expensive 2 hour "power scrub" setting!!!! Wow, 2 weeks old & I'm regretting this machine!!! My next step today is to see if we can return it for full credit.
Summary: This has been a terrible product from day one. Hard to install, 2 hours 6 min to run a normal load, never dries the dishes, if the dishes aren't clean when you load the dishwasher they don't get clean, the bottom drawer comes off the track every time and you have to lift the whole loaded drawer up to get back on track, there is no solid connection to the cabinet so it moves around every time you open the door. One positive thing, it looks good.
Summary: I put all new LG major appliances in my kitchen and all of them broke in one way or another, within less than 2 years. I agree LG customer service is heinous in every way. This dishwasher broke completely for me after a year and a half and I didn't purchase the extended warranty so I am out the $900 I paid for this piece of junk.
Summary: We have owned a similar LG dishwasher that was bought in 2006 for over $900. We figured we would spend the extra money on a good device saving us repair costs down the road. We were dead wrong. Within a year a door seal blew allowing water to leak all over. Next the water got into the electronics located in the door, now the water intake valve is leaking and is placed in such a way that an repairman simply can't access it to fix. Do not buy LG major appliances.
Summary: LG Customer service SUCKS!!!! I purchased a 42" TV at the end of 2007 with a 4 year service contract. After 4 years and 1 month it broke and LG will not assist in fixing the issue. The issue is a VERY common problem and I wonder why this television was not recalled!
Summary: I purchased this dishwasher two years ago. In the beginning it was awesome, but weeks after I had problems with the dishes getting clean. I would have to re-wash again just to get the dirt off. Second problem started just recently and had the service tech at my house. I would put the dishes on power wash for two hours, then when 66 minutes lights up, I end up with a flood on my kitchen floor and an error code. The tech said "its draining" but the motor is shot.
