Summary: We bought this product enticed by its water saving feature. However, a year later, the metal ends of the dish racks fell off and they are now horribly corroded. It seems that some ends were not properly treated, but after a bit more than a year of use, the treated ends are slowly falling apart as well, and will eventually add to the corrosion feast.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings
Summary: I've had this dishwasher for just over one year. tomorrow will make the 5th time a repair man has come out to fix what is always the drain pump. consumer cannot get to it, as the unit has to be removed and placed on it's back. the drain pump has been replaced twice already. It may look good, but is a product that needs to be removed from the market.
Summary: Most reviews are done early in the ownership lifetime of the appliance. Here’s a longer run view of the design flaws that exist in LG dishwashers. I am replacing my high end LG dishwasher after less than two years of use. The dishwasher failed due to a cracked fitting on the water intake which failed during the night and caused about $10K in damage to a kitchen hardwood floor, and to drywall and carpeting in a finished basement.
Summary: I came across this while looking for parts (again) for this POS dishwasher. It's horrible. We had some code right after the warranty expired and it turned out to be the entire motor assembly in the bottom of the unit. That worked for a week, then the main board was dead and had to be replaced. Luckily, I'd purchased an extended warranty after the motor was replaced and that was covered. Since then, it threw the dreaded HE error.
Summary: We bought 4 appliances thinking they will match and look really nice. HUGE MISTAKE LG Dishwasher is the BIGGEST piece of crap. It's been services 5 times and LG will not replace it. I have it completely rebuilt with pictures of the repair man and LOTS of boxes of new parts. NOW, it's not working again. LG Microwave - didn't take the warranty but should have (thinking it's only $500, what could go wrong?
Summary: Excellent product once fixed.
Drain must remove water , tube cannot allow water to back up.
Island install, drain must go 3ft above floor and 10 inches above drain as in diagram
Major issue is the float on the right side. This must be always clean otherwise the machine will not fill correctly and drain at the right moment. My float was full of greasey residue. Steam is great, , takes many plates and ! select power cycle with steam.
Summary: The warranty is only 1 year on labor and 2 years on parts and it's like having a root canal to get them to do anything with regards to the warranty. The first dishwasher lasted 2 months and had to be replaced and that was a 4 week process with 4 visits with a maintenance man, many phone calls and several emails and I ended up installing the dishwasher. The new dishwasher had an oil smell when it was running and was noisy until it died with a L1 error code.
Summary: We have owned this dishwasher for over two years and have never had one single problem with it. We did buy it refurbished, so I feel like we got an even better deal given how incredible this thing works. The features are plentiful, however we usually just use Normal setting. Dishes come out clean. We use Finish tablet soap as well as Finish Rinse Aid. I am writing this review because I stumbled on this product here on Amazon and noticed the low rating.
Summary: Purchased this dishwasher new three years ago. Looks great, but doesn't fully clean dishes. We use name brand soap and rinse aid, however still find it necessary to thoroughly rinse dishes before running through dishwasher. Based upon our experience, we could not and would not recommend this particular dishwasher.
Summary: We replaced a 15 year old dishwasher with this new LG...what a mistake. It cleans OK, but is difficult to load and makes horrible noises. The kids call it the Dish Monster because it is so loud.
