Summary: I would give this machine less than one star if that were allowed. We have had a very poor experience with this dishwasher over the past year+ of ownership. I do not recommend that you buy it. There are serious design and materials flaws with the upper rack system.
Summary: I bought model KUDS30IXBL4 via a local appliance dealer in late 2011. Overall, we've been very happy with it. It cleans dishes well if the right detergent is used. It is very quiet. But it has some issues. Very infrequently, the controls become unresponsive.
Excerpt: This dishwasher was purchased in May 2011 at a total cost of almost $1000. Since having it installed it has required service and the motor has been replaced twice - in 2012 and again in 2013. The wheels and rollers have repeatedly broken off.
We have had nothing but problems with this machine. ...

Summary: We have had nothing but problems with this machine... Top rack breaking, the latch does work properly and the washer will not turn on. I repaired the latched , replaced the top rack and the silverware baskets. Once again the thing is broken and it is not the latch this time.
Summary: So it's been problem after problem. We have had to replace the upper rack clips (things that hold the upper rack on) 2x & now the dishes are not comign out clean and it smells like something died in the dishwasher.
& of course these is no information on where to even begin to fix this piece of crap.
Excerpt: I like it vey much, does great job.Noise LevelI feel it is very quiet.Cleaning TimeTo long, the times are very long even on a short wash.Loading FlexibilityThe silverware compartments should be fewer but bigger space.PerformanceCleans very well.DesignThe buttons are not in a good place on the front.
Summary: Having the same issues as the other owners have described. The control board has died three times in 2 years. When I called customer service they said the control board was under a 5yr limited warranty and that the would send out a technician to fix the dishwasher.
Nothing like the Kitchenaid that I bought 20 years ago

Summary: Within the first year, I needed to call a repairman for the adjustable dish rack falling. He fixed the problem, however, here we are 1 1/2 years later and out of warranty and the wheels have literally fallen off the adjustable rack!
