Summary: Cleans dishes well. Is surprisingly quiet. Stainless interior inspires confidence. What more do you want? (Mine is a KUDC, if that makes any difference.) I find it odd that wash cycle takes two hours. It doesn't matter, because I run it in the evening.
Summary: What a piece of junk .... never worked properly from day one (and its only 7 months old). It leaves a film on all dishes/glasses and has repeatedly clogged and Kitchenaid blames us. We rise the dishes before they go in. I can't believe a 1000.00 appliance gets clogged with what amounts to toast crumbs. The service person basically admitted that the drainage system is flawed and has replaced the pump but the POS still refuses to work.
Summary: We bought this dishwasher about six months ago through our plumber. From the time it was installed, it never worked well. It's really loud, for one thing, and it also takes a l-o-o-o-ng time to run. The first few loads we ran through it came out okay, but not completely clean, especially the glasses, which ended up with gritty stuff baked onto them.
Summary: The dishwasher seized the first time we turned it on. The serviceman said the pump impeller was jammed solid, perhaps on a screw or piece of plastic left in the unit at the factory. The unit never even had a dish put in it.
The entire motor/pump assembly needs to be replaced. We were told by the serviceman to not even think about asking for a replacement unit because we'll never get one from Whirlpool.
Summary: We purchased this machine in black for $650. Machine's noise level is very close to that of Bosch but has far greater capacity, heated dry, and no strainer to pull and clean. Interior really has a commercial feel with a stainless steel four arm spray unit. Cycle time is a bit long due to energy savings wait periods in the cycle to give time for dried on foods to soften.
Summary: We bought this about 6 months ago from Lowes - I think our model was only $675 but we got black color, not stainless. I find it difficult to see the actual rinse aid level - I can't really tell if it's full or needs more. That is a pretty minor thing though. Also, the design is ok - not fabulous or anything - but ok for the money. I don't think it's whisper quiet or anything, but it's reasonably quiet for the price.
Summary: We purchased this dishwasher about 2 months ago and love it! We were replacing a 17-year-old Kitchenaid dishwasher that we installed when we first built our house, so of course dishwashers have advanced since then. This new Kitchenaid is MUCH quieter, MUCH roomier on both the top and bottom shelves (due to the tall tub design), and even gets our dishes cleaner. What's not to like!
