Summary: We have had it for several months now and we simply love it. It is quiet, washes sparkling clean. We are recommending it to our daughter who is looking for a replacement for hers. What more can I say?
Summary: Like many others on here I am having a problem with what appears to be a leaking pump. Noticed that my expensive hardwood floors are warping near the dishwasher. I took off the access panel to check the water connections. No leak there. Turned on the dishwasher and after it filled and the pump started running I found it leaking . Machine was purchased in Feb 2013 so has been off warranty for a few months. Most dissapointed.
Summary: Bought this dishwasher for about $1100 in 2011. In 2013 the electronics and washing pump were all replaced. Now 14 months later the machine has quit again. The diagnosis is that the wash motor failed again. If we replace this we get a 90 day warranty. For the same cost as a repair we can buy a new dishwasher with a 1 year warranty..granted it would be a lesser quality model eg.
Summary: Well, there's no reason to write much other than the basics. After a simple service call early on for some reason that I can't even remember, the appliance recently became inoperable after less than two years of use. The repair technician had to replace the entire control board, the motor, and the pump! What it sounds like to me is that these same problems are going to recur not too long down the line.
Summary: We have two of these, 18 months after we installed one of them required a $576 repair. The repair guy said one of the problems (a broken pump) is so common that he can't keep the part on the truck. The other repair is on the computer. I'm disgusted. Not to mention that there is no shut off function and the dishwasher dumped water all over our floor for an hour (we weren't home) and damaged the walls in the finished basement underneath the kitchen.
Summary: Absolutely horrible dishwasher. We replaced it with a new LG unit after 1 1/2 years of usage. After spending $1400 for the KitchenAid dishwasher, I was surprised as to how low quality it (and probably all other KitchenAid dishwashers) was built. The first part that went bad, around a year into using the dishwasher was the upper rack posts that support the rolling wheels started breaking 1 by 1.
Summary: This is my third dishwasher and my best ever. When I was looking to replace my old Kenmore, I found that most current models have "new features" that are actually more accurately described as the lack of features that used to be on older dishwashers. Here are my thoughts on this model: * I put in casseroles with baked-on, burnt food and they still come out spotless. Glassware also comes out spotless if you use a rinse aid. Absolutely amazing, I could not be happier.
Summary: First, the options are not great. It only provides for 4 hour delay. But this was as described. The heating element broke shortly after the warranty expired, so the sanitize or the extra hot wash does not work. The the other very significant flow is the cleaning/filtration system. This dishwasher is nasty. It has a filter that collects nasty grime and you have to clean it yourself with a brush. Also nasty grime on the bottom and around the door. Yuck.
Summary: After 4 tech people and two computers the unit still shows a service code of 8 flashes. nobody in the corporation seems to care or will help. I bought this unit as I remember my mother swearing by this brand many yearsa ago. Also if ANY food is left on a dish it must be removed , you might have a chance to get all the food off if you run the heavy duty cycle(maybe) So now this unit is just a sanitizer at best .
