Summary: We have two of these, 18 months after we installed one of them required a $576 repair. The repair guy said one of the problems (a broken pump) is so common that he can't keep the part on the truck. The other repair is on the computer. I'm disgusted. Not to mention that there is no shut off function and the dishwasher dumped water all over our floor for an hour (we weren't home) and damaged the walls in the finished basement underneath the kitchen.
Summary: Absolutely horrible dishwasher. We replaced it with a new LG unit after 1 1/2 years of usage. After spending $1400 for the KitchenAid dishwasher, I was surprised as to how low quality it (and probably all other KitchenAid dishwashers) was built. The first part that went bad, around a year into using the dishwasher was the upper rack posts that support the rolling wheels started breaking 1 by 1.
Summary: This is my third dishwasher and my best ever. When I was looking to replace my old Kenmore, I found that most current models have "new features" that are actually more accurately described as the lack of features that used to be on older dishwashers. Here are my thoughts on this model: * I put in casseroles with baked-on, burnt food and they still come out spotless. Glassware also comes out spotless if you use a rinse aid. Absolutely amazing, I could not be happier.
Summary: This products puts my mind at ease that the dishes will be spotless. Also, I can entertain and not wait until the guests leave to start a load. It is so quiet one time a guest asked me if he could help me start a load and was astonished when I told him one had been started half an hour ago.
Summary: First, the options are not great. It only provides for 4 hour delay. But this was as described. The heating element broke shortly after the warranty expired, so the sanitize or the extra hot wash does not work. The the other very significant flow is the cleaning/filtration system. This dishwasher is nasty. It has a filter that collects nasty grime and you have to clean it yourself with a brush. Also nasty grime on the bottom and around the door. Yuck.
Summary: After 4 tech people and two computers the unit still shows a service code of 8 flashes. nobody in the corporation seems to care or will help. I bought this unit as I remember my mother swearing by this brand many yearsa ago. Also if ANY food is left on a dish it must be removed , you might have a chance to get all the food off if you run the heavy duty cycle(maybe) So now this unit is just a sanitizer at best .
Summary: "We needed to replace our 11 year old Kitchenaid dishwasher: The door latched but was no longer held by the spring mechanism. It only worked on one cycle, and dishes weren`t getting fully cleaned. We had no loyalties, but we did have a budget of up to $1000. We wanted one with a stainless steel tub and a stainless steel front, and a good warranty on the electronics. No other requirements. We liked what we read )reviews( about Bosch and Miele.
Pros: Adjustable middle rack Led Cycle indicator on the front Easy filer access Very quiet 3rd rack for knives and flat utensils Racks slide in and out very easily. 5 year warranty on electronics--a biggie!
Summary: I purchased this dishwasher 7 months ago. We are a family of 4, so it gets normal usage. The plastic wheels on the racks already broke and the dealer's comments were, of course they are exposed to all that water and heat. That is ridiculous. This was over $1,000 dishwasher and I am expected to accept that the plastic components are going to need to be replaced every year?
Summary: I replaced a 14 year old KitchenAid with this model. It is several times quieter than my original KitchenAid dishwasher, and that dishwasher was much quieter than the GE it replaced. Because of the energy saving features, it takes a lot longer to complete a wash/dry cycle. In energy saving mode, you might get some items in the dishwasher that are not completely dry. It does have "normal" cycles that are not energy saving if you choose to use them.
