Summary: I was renovating the whole kitchen, bought 2.5K+ items such as under-the-counter drawer Italian fridge, stove, exhaust, best W/D combo I could find on the market, German/Swedish fixtures etc, so I thought I would go middle of the range for the D/W, but still a respectable brand, eg (I thought) GE. Plus I thought I could use something 'american' with all those snooty europeans in the house.
Summary: This is my first dishwasher and it is a gem. The price at AJ Madison was the best around. I was so happy they had this 18" GE since I wanted a brand I could count on and a size to fit into my small galley kitchen. The dishwasher accommodates plenty of dishes, glass wear and utensils, washing and drying everything thoroughly and quietly. I've used it to clean pots too and they come out shining. I certainly recommend this GE dishwasher and the sales team at AJ Madison.
Summary: I was REALLY lucky and scored one of these on CL for a fraction of the retail price. I've installed it myself in a very small kitchen that did not previously have a dishwasher. I bought the dishwasher around noon one day and among other tasks, it was installed an running that same night. My wife and I eat at home more often than not but we are both very busy with school and work so dishes piling up in the sink was starting to get really old.
Summary: Encountered this unit in an apartment I rented in Seattle for two years. At first I was skeptical - (I have fancy relatives who only $ing praises of Miele or better). Fortunately though this little unit did a great job. Better yet the fact that it wasn't full sized meant that it ran a bit more often, which was handy since I don't eat in enough to have a full sized dishwasher fill up before things get "unpleasant." A bit noisy, but not terribly.
Summary: 57 YRS of washing by hand including children-this washer is cute and efficient excellent washing dishes, utensils, glassware it even scoured baked pasta pans cleaner than my family did-- lol am so pleased with my emmaculate kitchen- i mean my ge dishwasher
Summary: This dishwasher worked great for the first six months. After six months it started making a noise so loud that I tried not to be home while it was running. The one year warranty included by GE was easy to use. They paid for a local repairman to diagnose the problem. I have been waiting since December 03, 2010 for GE to have the part in stock so they can fix my dishwasher. If I had it do all over, I would not buy this product.
Summary: After three years of use the pump failed and now the machine is useless. When I pulled the unit out to determine the extent of problem, I also discovered one of the seals had gone bad and it had been leaking into my hardwood floor. I expected more for $500.
Summary: We purchased this dishwasher along with a few other appliances for a small kitchen remodel.
My kitchen has some space limitations, so a regular sized dishwasher would not be able to fit. We decided to go with the GE Spacemaker, since it was smaller than a standard size, only 18 inches. This was we would only have to remove one cabinet to get the dishwasher in.
We had to order it, and it came about a week later. We installed it without any huge issues.
Summary: It's better than nothing, but not by as much as I'd hoped. On the positive side, it runs well, is not too loud, and fits in a small kitchen. Sometimes it even cleans its contents well. However, it has very few spaces in which you can put anything other than plates and silverware. Even cereal bowls are hard to fit, let alone pots, mixing bowls, or storage containers. Worse, it doesn't reliably clean the contents.
