Summary: The only positive thing I can say about this dishwasher is that it looks pretty. I don't know why we've even kept it for so long (almost 2 years) because it does a terrible job of cleaning the dishes and it doesn't dry them. I'm not going to waste my time calling a GE technician, I'm just going to replace it with something else. DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER!
Summary: The dishwasher door wouldn't close and latch. I checked the door before installation and was hoping for way to adjust the door if possible. Sadly, it's not possible. Now I'm out if a dishwasher until the new one comes. I'm not happy with GE's quality control.
Summary: This dishwasher was bought and installed in October 2013. Even before using it, we found the left-hand side hinge was either broken or improperly manufactured. The broken part involves a welding failure. GE notified us that they will not re-weld the piece but rather send a "fix" packet to reattach the door to the primary unit. As such, even prior to the 1st use, we have a dishwasher that does not meet original, purchase specifications.
Summary: We recently moved into a new home and this dishwasher came with it. While I enjoy the cafe series oven, this dishwasher is horrible. The first thing I noticed was how small the interior space is. I have yet to fit an entire days worth of dishes in it and find myself running it twice a day! Secondly, as with precious reviews, it does not get dishes clean. It's entire purpose is to clean dishes, so this is a huge issue! If ANYTHING is over lapping it will not be clean.
Summary: Read the reviews and installed correctly with the one inch gap. My days of discussions with my wife about rinsing off dishes before I put them in the dishwasher are over. Super clean dishes hard food disposal works great and so clean. One happy Man here... One happy Man.
Summary: We bought GE Cafe appliances for our remodel and have had nothing but problems. Out of 4 separate kitchen appliances, 3 have had problems within 2 to 3 years of ownership. The GE Cafe dishwasher has a known defect that the electrical control panel shorts out when drops of water from the counter-top gets on it. Lucky I am handy enough to trace the problem and replace the part (labor plus parts from a GE licensed specialist would be close to half the cost of a new unit).
Keep away! Does not clean! Worst dishwasher we've ever had.

Summary: We got a GE Cafe Dual Fuel Range and hubby insisted on a matching dishwasher. We like the range, but the dishwasher is the worst we've ever had. Totally unacceptable performance. Coffee mugs come out with coffee stains, lipstick stains are a given. BTW, that is supposed to be how you test a good dishwasher - lipstick should come off. Silverware comes out with a film on them if you scrubbed them beforehand.
Excerpt: Unfortunately I own this unit. The only reason I purchase it was because I bought the range and they are adjacent to each other in my kitchen. It replaced a 12 year old Kitchenaid. The GE Cafe was expensive and does a poor job cleaning. I often rewash dishes and that is in addition to being practically clean from the rinsing.
Summary: We have purchased and paid for this dishwasher only to have it arrive damaged. It's not damaged on the outside though, it's actually damaged on the inside. The inside damage makes it impossible for the door to properly close and would cause leaking if the appliance was hooked up. We immediately sent the first dishwasher back and they came out two weeks later with another one. The second one was dented on the inside as well.
Summary: We have tried everything cycles, water temp, detergents and dishes come out slightly dirty and then baked on by the dry. Top rack is particularly bad. When you try to adjust the rack for wine glasses the sprayer on top doesn't even connect to the water nozzle that is supposed to supply it. Have had low end frigidare and high end miele that both clean better. So disappointing for a high price model. Love the duel fuel range though.
