Summary: Wish I had listened to all the reviewers before purchasing this dishwasher. I was so enamored with the two drawer idea that I was willing to overlook all the negatives. I mean, how bad could it be? The answer is, very bad!
Summary: We replaced our 10 year old DD-603 with the newer model. We really like the 2 drawer concept when we were but 2 people. It would take us a week to fill an entire dish washer! Now that we are a family of 4, the concept still works well for us, living out of one drawer while filling the other ;).
Summary: Save yourself a headache...or 4! Bought these units new only 5 years ago and have had problems from day 1. I always pre-washed dishes and they constantly had to be re-washed by hand. Plates and spatulas won't fit into lower drawer - too tall.
Summary: I'm happy with my purchase (Nov 2014). Love the ergonomic aspect and not have to constantly have to bend over to open/close the dishwasher. It takes a while to get used to all the racks and holders. I think they overdid that part. It has been running well for 6 + months now.
Summary: I've had one of these dish drawers from FP for maybe 6 or 7 years. It cleans great and runs quiet. I did have a breakdown a couple of years ago with the top drawer motors (it has to lift the drawer up to make a seal before operating).
Summary: We actually had a Fisher Paykel in our old house. While it had a few issues, exp if you fill it too high up and the lid doesn't close well (it essentially cleans your dishes in a box, which is why you hear the lid come down upon starting).
