Summary: This is the worst dishwasher I have ever had in 40 years of buying them. Dishes are not clean even after it's very extensive wash cycles. It is not the water or the detergent or any of those things. The only thing you can say is it is pretty quiet. I did not buy this from Amazon, but I would warn anyone against this awful dishwasher.
Summary: I bought my Bosch model SHE55M16UC about three years ago at the recommendation of a high rating from Consumer Reports. Nine days after the one year labor warranty expired the cheap plastic control panel broke off when opening the door one morning spilling the buttons all over the kitchen floor. To Bosch's credit they honored the labor warranty at that time however here I am about two years later with the same exact part failure!
Summary: Have had this less than a week. Out of the box, the end of cycle alert didn't work. Will have a repair person take a look/see. I have to say, this is the best dishwasher I've ever had. It is extremely quiet. The glasses come out sparkling and it does a fantastic job on dishes. Just scrape off the food (no rinsing) easily load dishes and start washer. There is plenty of room for everything plus it has a half load option. Great item.
Summary: I am very happy with this dishwasher. We were going to get a step down from this one because I didn't want to spend to much, but we got a good deal on this one at Lowe's. I am in heaven with this dishwasher as I run a busy household of 6. So, several loads a day are in my schedule. I highly recommend you spend the extra for this one. You won't regret it.
Pros: High quality, Durable, cleans, thorough, everything!
Summary: Have been using for about a week. The previous reviews pretty much sum it up--incredibly quiet; gets dishes very clean; getting dishes dry even without rinse aid (except plastic, which is pretty typical). And yes, tines are very close together on racks and loading drives me nuts. I think I will cut off some of the tines and see if that works for bowls and other larger items.
Summary: I purchased this dishwasher just this week and have used it twice. I like the clean lines and hidden control panel, which if fairly easy to understand and operate. The racks are a little different than what I am used to, and it is somewhat smaller inside, but I knew that going in and will adjust. One thing I was not used to is the long, long wash cycle. With my GE dishwasher, the normal cycle was about 50-60 minutes.
Summary: This dishwasher is smaller overall than the Kenmore I previously owned thus I cannot fit as many items. The top rack does raise and lower so I am able to accommodate taller items, but it does not lower enough for wine glasses. The bottom rack is very limiting in where items can be placed. The bottom rack does not allow for wine glasses or any item that is skinny/round in nature.
Summary: Seriously, you may have to ask yourself if it's running. This dishwasher really is that quiet! It does a great job of cleaning, however it doesn't dry that well. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. I just allow a little time to air dry. It's well worth it for the quiet and ease of use.
Summary: The house i bought a couple years ago had a dishwasher, it worked, cleaned decently but was loud as all get out, so i finally upgraded recently. So far after washing a couple of loads, i am pleased with the machine. Dishes come out clean. The noise, what noise? When in the kitchen it sounds like a light rain, in the living room, i cant hear it at all when watching tv, a far cry from the old one, and i do mean it was likely 20-25 years old.
Summary: I bought the Bosch dishwasher model # SHE55M16UC to replace a 10-year-old Bosch that would inexplicably flood the wood kitchen floor without any apparent reason. OK, it was fairly old, so why not just replace it instead of a costly repair, especially when there was no obvious fault, such as a worn gasket or hose?
