Summary: this is kind of a double review as i have had two bosch appliances over the last several years. when our haier dishwasher went we bought this unit and when we had nothing but probs with a first generation maytag front load washer we picked up a bosch washer too...based upon the name which i new well and associated with quality.
Summary: We are delighted with our new dishwasher, which we installed over a week ago. It is much quieter than the Amana it replaced. The dishes are sparkling clean. I have been amazed at the lack of any water spots or areas that look dingy. (This may be more a comment on the old dishwasher that I am so amazed but this one cleans thoroughly.) The tines in the bottom rack of the dishwasher are closer together than any I'd used or seen before.
Summary: The dishwasher is very quiet and it's hard to hear it running at all. For all of those who have complained about this dishwasher not drying the dishes, I can tell you that it does a good job. The installer gave me two great tips to get the best results from this Bosch. Place the cleaning pod in the silverware basket and make sure the water from the faucet is warm or hot before starting the dishwasher.
Summary: I purchased a Bosch Ascenta dishwasher in February 2013 to replace a 12 year old Maytag that worked just fine but was falling apart. I did a lot of research and Bosch came out on top with rave reviews from all the lead consumer boards. That said, I eagerly awaited the day the eyesore of a beat up Maytag would be replaced with a state of the art shiny new Bosch.
Summary: I am very dissatisfied with this product. If you have the commonly used Denby dish wear, you will have great difficulty loading the dishwasher. Regularly, I have difficulty fitting the dishes and it is common for 1-2 dishes not to be cleaned after the wash. I have followed the directions on how to load the dishwasher and this has not helped.
