Bosch Ascenta not on track -- Lower rack falls off the "track"
23 August 2015
Summary: Purchased the Ascenta based on "Bosch" brand name. Embarrassing engineering. Before buying, I suggest you put some dishes in the lower rack and open and close it a few times. Voila, the rack comes off the track with regularity.
Summary: I posted some longer comments under Rich's longer review. However, I have had this dishwasher for 13 months, and it has been a great washer. It works much better than older Whirlpool that it replaced I thought a lot of reviews were way too negative.
Summary: Yes, it's quiet. But since we had it installed about a month ago, it has never run a complete cycle on Auto Wash. The "Active" light would blink continuously, through a whole day. We first noticed that after a cycle the dishwasher was smelly, then noticed there was standing water in the bottom.
Summary: This is on the Bosch 800. I'm only giving it one star because I can't give it 0. This is the worst dishwasher. Read the reviews they are all true. Dishes just don't fit or come clean. Customer Service told me it was because they use European dishes. Anyone else have those?
Summary: Be prepared to wash your dishes prior to placing them in this unit. We sent our 24year old Lady Kenmore to the dump and replaced it with a top of the line Bosch. I'm wishing we never decided to "upgrade" to this piece of fluff.
Summary: Do not buy any bosch dishwasher. Six service calls in four years. Does that sound like a high end appliance. Customer Service does not stand behind their product. I will never buy Bosch again. Beware
I purchased a Bosch dishwasher recommended from Best Buy

Summary: I purchased a Bosch dishwasher recommended from Best Buy. In my opinion, they suck . Best Buy told me if they have bad reviews, it's because people are not adding a rinse agent ,but that has not been my experience .
Incredibly frustrating to load, holds half as much as our previous (Kenmore Elite)

Summary: Do not buy a Bosch Ascenta if you want to be able to load your dishes and glassware in a sensible manner. Bosch Ascenta has the WORST rack design imaginable. Impossible to load anything in real person home. Wine glasses don't fit, anything that needs to stand up straight doesn't fit.
Summary: I will never buy another Bosch. I bought it less than three years ago and it has needed so many repairs that I'm buying a new dishwasher (not a Bosch!) rather than have one more repair call -- I've spent as much repairing this Bosch as it originally cost me.
Excerpt: Tines are placed too close together. Impossible to load bowls, tupperware, toddler plates, or really anything other than thin plates. The controls are completely not intuitive. You need to read the manual and take several steps just to turn the drying feature on and off.
