Good camera

Matt Brown "On the Go", Amazon
7 September 2012
  • Summary: The camera is smaller than I expected and light. It is a well made camera, sharp and large screen, easy to use, comes with a belt case, usb connection lead, and software. A fantastic bargain for what Amazon has it listed for.

Budget results from a budget brand

W, Amazon
8 September 2010
  • Summary: In a world full of cheap competition these days from Nikon and Canon, the Vivitar range has never really grabbed me. My fiancee purchased one as a handy handbag snapper as my Finepix 6500SD isn't the most practical for nights out or social events.

Avoid

octophone, Amazon
18 November 2007
  • Summary: I bought this camera in April and it's been nothing but trouble. The pictures are often blurred but I initially put this down to my lack of skill. The battery usage is very high but I also encountered a problem where the camera wouldn't take new batteries, shutting down automatically when brand new...

not as good as i expected

Karen Harrison, Amazon
19 October 2007
  • Summary: I have read all the revues and thought it would be an ideal replacement for my aging fuji finepix, but I cannot make it take crisp, clear pictures and have tried most of the settings but have now given up. It may be that I have got a duff one and am in the process of trying to return it.

Very useful, easy-to-use camera

weirdchri..., Ciao
6 October 2007
  • Excerpt: When I first bought this camera, I had a lot of trouble with the light in the pictures I took. Once I had altered the shutter speed, I found that the pictures came out fine. The in-built memory is very useful, but I recommend buying at least a 1GB SD memory card.
  • Pros: excellent picture quality
  • Cons: teething problems, occasional confusion

User Review

danie209, Ciao
12 August 2007
  • Excerpt: When I first bought this camera, I thought I had the best camera, especially since it looks hot! However, the quality of the pictures is poor. Pictures almost always come out blur, whether you have excellent or poor lighting. This camera quickly eats out batteries, and fulls up your memory fast.

Good camera but..

I.F.Coyle, Amazon
9 August 2007
  • Summary: Thought it was just me but reading the reviews I am not alone. I have to take a barrel-load of batteries with me on holiday. Pity but it will have to go back. Shame...when it worked it was ace!
