Sony Alpha SLT-A65 Review

thinkdigit.com
3 August 2012
  • Summary: The Sony Alpha A65 offers very good features such as a blazing fast 10 frames-per-second burst rate, OLED electronic viewfinder, excellent video quality, variety of filters to play around with, hell even a GPS chip. Its image quality is really good and we did not see any issues with noise till ISO 3200. At an MRP of Rs. 59,990 we feel it makes for a good value for money proposition provided its MOP is around the Rs. 55,000 region.
  • Pros: 10 fps burst rate, Detailed high-res electronic viewfinder, Excellent video quality, Wonderful grip
  • Cons: Variangle LCD, Less flexibility in AF area

Sony Alpha 65 (SLT-A65VK)

PC Magazine
7 March 2012
  • Conclusion: The 24-megapixel Sony Alpha 65 is capable of shooting at a blazing fast 9 frames per second, but is held back by a kit lens that simply can't match the quality of the high-resolution image sensor.
  • Pros: Shoots at 9 frames per second. High resolution. Fast autofocus. Excellent OLED EVF. Built-in GPS.
  • Cons: No optical finder. Low-quality kit lens. Performance suffers with slower memory cards.

DP Review
20 November 2011
  • Summary: The Sony SLT-A65 is an exceptionally well specified camera for its class. The 24MP CMOS sensor, the OLED EVF and the 10fps continuous mode are real stand-out features in the mid-level bracket of the market. Add the well thought-out ergonomics to that and you got yourself a camera that is a pleasure and fun to use in almost any shooting situation.
  • Pros: Excellent 2.4 million-dot OLED EVF, Versatile full-time live view system, Very high-resolution 24MP CMOS APS-Csensor, Strong feature set including Auto HDR and Sweep Panorama, Class-leading video resolution, Intuitive and well thought-out ergonomics, Fast and responsive operation, Fastest continuous shooting in its class, Efficient SteadyShot INSIDE image stabilization system, In-camera GPS, Good battery life, Attractive price point
  • Cons: In-camera JPEGs don't show off the 24MP sensor to its best extent, Comparatively strong noise reduction at medium and high ISO settings, Very noisy raw files at high ISO settings, Little control over high ISO noise reduction in JPEG mode ('auto' or 'weak'), Limited control in 10 fps continuous shooting and movie modes, No live view in 8 or 10 fps continuous shooting modes makes accurate panning very difficult, Slightly 'laggy' menu system and UI, Slightly counterintui...

Sony Alpha SLT-A65

PhotoReview
1 October 2011
  • Summary: Most of the features of Sony's new SLT-A77 in a smaller, lighter and more affordable body. The SLT-A65 is the second of two SLR-style interchangeable-lens cameras announced by Sony on 24 August, 2011. Like the SLT-A77, which was unveiled at the same time, it features Translucent (pellicle) Mirror Technology, a 24.3-megapixel APS-C-sized sensor and new BIONZ image processor.
  • Pros: You're looking for a capable, high-resolution DSLR that is exciting to use and can shoot stills and Full HD video clips., You want relatively noise-free high ISO settings., You're prepared to shoot and edit both JPEG and ARW.RAW images., You could utilise some of the multi-frame and high-speed shooting modes., You want body-integrated image stabilisation that works with all lenses.
  • Cons: You're a point-and press photographer who isn't prepared to explore the camera's full capabilities., You don't like electronic viewfinders.

Cámara digital Sony Alpha (SLT-A65)

parentesis.com
21 July 2012
