Excerpt: Here is a small NEX-6 review. I never did a review before, but I have the feeling that the NEX-6 deserves one. Photography started for me (when I was 13 years old) with a Canon AT-1 with only a standard lens. It was great camera and I shot a lot of slides with it. After some years, I saved enough money to buy two more lenses and a Canon Canonet G-III. The G-III was a great little camera and I enjoyed it a lot because of its compact size.
Excerpt: After one year with Sony NEX-6 and over 6000 pictures taken, I can tell that this camera delivers excellent results. I bought the camera as a replacement for my Pentax DSLR and there were only a few situations when I missed the DSLR. The portability of this camera allows you to take very good quality pictures in places where DSLRs are prohibited by their size and weight (for instance in an airplane cockpit) and the range of the features is simply awesome.
Summary: An awesome camera. I got it to replace NEX-3 I had been using for over 2 years, and it has everything I loved about the original Sony Alpha NEX, and then some (reasons I wanted NEX-6, namely more controls, better User Interface and EVF). I have previously used NEX-3 as a legacy lens camera, expanded its role as a proper back up to my Sony Alpha SLT (A55). The NEX-6 will go through the same drill.
