Summary: Re the Focus bundle: The good is that many of the parts are real Sony, including the SD card. I've heard that other brands can be problematic. Just got the camera and my only nit is that there is no charger for the 2nd battery. Pretty hard to keep a spare ready to go without one. I also think Sony could do much better on the instruction side. There is a lot in this little package and the user manual is pretty limited.
Excerpt: Despite the title, this is a thoroughly good camera that is nice to use and has great IQ. I am going to break the review up into sections and I am going to start, for no particular reason, with the design and build of the camera: Design and Build: In my view the camera definitely has that restrained professional look. Everything is black and the shape a simple rectangle with rounded corners. Very simple, very straight forward.
Summary: I love this camera, It has a lot of features. Pros: - Very small powerful camera - Good dinamic range - Outstanding low light photography - A lot variety of lenses (some of them will require an adaptor) - Raw images Cons: - The video recording its not that good, very "video look" - some apps like timelipse mode, should be included in this camera, instead you have to buy it (10 bucks for this app)
Summary: This is a fun and versatile camera that yields outstanding photos in a variety of shooting conditions. i bought this camera after lugging my Canon DSLR and accessory lenses on vacation in Great Britain. The Sony would have been a far easier system to carry and the results, based on comparison shots I have made between the two systems, would have been every bit as good.
Pros: Easy to Use, Great Resolution, Small / Compact
Summary: Excellent picture quality, surprisingly good and useful electronic viewfinder (I very much prefer it to the LCD screen for composing photos). Bought because I wanted something small with a viewfinder that could be used on manual settings. Like too many digital cameras today, it has a huge variety of settings and the menus aren't always very intuitive. But it is very much what I expected and so far, I'm very satisfied with the camera.
Excerpt: This is a summary after 7 months use of the NEX-6 + 16-50 OSS. This camera meets the prime consideration - it takes great pictures, clear, detailed, good saturation & not particularly noisy. However you want to measure it, this camera delivers very good photos. I was also impressed by the kit lens, I wasn't expecting too much (it's a kit lens & it's TINY) but it has performed really well, even against my fussy standards.
Camera is Fantastic but some accesories are worthless

Summary: The camera and the telephoto lens are amazing, to say the least. I love this camera for its features and its compactness...much easier and lighter to use than my Nikon. I used it to photograph a Giants baseball game, a 49er game, and the America's Cup. Very, very pleased with all the images. The camera and additional lens are 5 stars! I loved getting the additional battery and the 64GM memory card. The two UV filters are just fine. The battery charger is a bit dubious.
Summary: I wish it has the touchscreen like some others. The kit power lens is ok. I actually prefer the old 18-55 so I bought a used one on eBay. The built in flash and built in olef finer are great additions. Some of the wifi apps are a gimmick. But it has features that can be added down the road. Build level seems better than my old Nex 5n. To me this is the perfect high end camera without going to a SLR. I just want a small size that I will take with me and this is it.
