Summary: DXO website tests & scores sensors. By the numbers you get objective measures of sensor quality. The Nex 3n nearly ties a $21,950 list price Leica S body, 3n ties an EOS 1D mark IV and beats all the Rebels. 3n bests a Nikon d90. Lacking a finder and flash shoe is a pain. But small size and image quality totally smoke/rock. 60fps 1080p video too. Nex system has limited lenses. But this is an amazing little camera.
Excerpt: I bought this little mirrorless for his small footprint. Since it had the same kit lens as much more expensive models I thought that the lens would be more than adecuate. Wrong!!. The kit lens is by far the worst kit lens I ever saw in a mirrorless. At 16mm it has such a strong distortion that if you correct it in ACR is as if you used a 20mm.
Summary: I wanted a small cheap camera with dslr quality so I went for the nex3n for 300$ with the 16-50mm lens , I´m pretty happy with the camera, the things I dislike are maybe the grip feels too small and not a big fan of the menus, I also have a canon 100d and the image of my sony nex3 is on par with the canon 100d plus it has even better video capabilities. Overall its just an excellent entry level dslr camera considering the -300$ price point.
Summary: Wonderful camera and kit! Just a tip, make sure you charge your camera battery for a decent around of time before trying to use for the first time. When you stick in the SD Card the camera will need to format it and it doesn't have enough battery life it cant. I was so excited and impatience I learned this the hard way.
Summary: Store Owner was very prompt at responding when I asked a question about the product. I love the camera and all the extra things that came with the package. Price was very good when compared to others only offering the camera body for about the same price. I feel that I got a lot of items for a great deal. The camera takes excellent pictures.
Summary: I use my NEX3N with my old OM lenses and an adapter and I'm quite happy with the results. This setup is not recommended for action photography of any sort because the old lenses don't allow for auto-focus. I still manage to take very good insect photos using my old Olympus OM extension tubes combined with my 50mm or 100mm lenses, and a Fotasy adapter for OM lenses. I had problems with the image resolution in the beginning.
Excerpt: -| I two months ago got one. It is not as good as I had hoped for. First Sony must get rid of that wheel on the back of the camera. It is flimsy and causes settings to change to easy. Good low light shooting but jpegs in natural light not great.
Excerpt: I bought one two months ago. I am not impressed with this camera. First that pain in the neck rear wheel is to flimsy and causes settings to change to easy. Sony must address this. Low light shooting is very good but images in jpeg in outdoor light are not crisp and do not stand out from other APS cameras of this vintage.
