Nex 3N great for outdoor/travel photog

Susu, buydig.com
22 July 2013
  • Summary: I am an old school film SLR camera buff but in recent years preferred the portability of point and shoot cameras with good zooms for hiking and traveling. But I missed the SLR image quality. This is my first mirrorless. I miss not having the viewfinder, but love the small size and very reasonable price. Though small, this is a solid well built unit that feels great in my hands (smaller woman). Image quality is great. I got it with the bundle--a good deal.
  • Pros: Raw Plus Jpeg, Small solidly built, User friendly

  • Summary: I didn't realize there was no viewfinder when I ordered the camera, which would have been a reason for me NOT to buy it. Now that I have been using the camera for over a week under many conditions, I am quite pleased with it. My vision isn't the greatest, but the 3" LCD is very sharp and I can see fine even in bright sunshine! I now have an anti-glare screen protector on it, and it's still fine.

I like the smaller body

Debra Ann Dargay, Amazon
5 June 2013
  • Summary: I have three digital cameras. One water resistant camera, one to haul around in my purse, and this one for more thoughtful photography. I like that it is smaller because I hate to carry stuff around while traveling, especially if I take a trip abroad. Pictures are great.

Best Camera

Jessica, Amazon
4 April 2013
  • Summary: I will never own another camera besides an NEX. This is without a doubt the best camera I've ever held... those that can't decide between this and the Olly, definitely this. The only downside is the zoom, which I believe they've fixed on the other models, and it really isn't that hard to get used to. (They don't have an exterior zoom button, you have to go into the menu.) WORTH IT! Buy an extra battery, because you will not want to run out once you get started!!

Beats Point and Shoot, Holds own against SLR

K and B, Amazon
1 March 2013
  • Summary: I have a Canon 5D, full frame SLR. I use them about equally, meaning when I decide which camera to take, the NEX gets picked about the same as the professional camera. The NEX blows away point and shoot cameras, first off. It's a true high end camera, with removable lenses and a Sony sensor straight out of more expensive Sony and Nikon professional SLR cameras. Compared to an SLR, it's smaller and lighter to cart around.
