Summary: Let me first start off by saying I own a lot of glass. I also have had a fair share of cameras including Sony's latest higher end SLT cameras. I also shoot multiple systems including film. Mirrorless, full frame- all of it. This camera stacks up very well.
Summary: I got this camera after Petax cameras system. I needed full frame camera but Pentax will die before it make FF camera. Sony camera is very good for portraits. It has awesome FF matrix with 24.5 MPx Pentax has Sony sensor too but not FF. Thats why Sony is my choice.
Summary: Having used the Minolta Maxxum 7000 for years and then switching to Sony's A 700, I thought I was in Heaven and then the A 900 came out. I found myself in a bad place. Owning what I had thought was the last(haha) camera I would need to purchase.
Pros: Bright LCD, Comfortable Controls, Easy To Use, Fast Shutter Speed, Great Image Quality, Image Stabilization, Strong Construction
Summary: The a-900 will show you how good your old maxxum lens are. I'm useing the 28-135mm lens as my walk around lens again, last 1 1/2 years been useing CZ 16-80mm len(a700). A-900 fit good in your hands.
Pros: Comfortable Controls, Easy To Use, Fast Shutter Speed, Image Stabilization, Quiet, Small Lag Time, Strong Construction

Summary: The A900 view finder makes MF easy even when AF can not lock in. (Low light) Those expensive Zeiss and G lenses REALLY shine on this camera. 70-200ssm, 24-70z, 135z are awesome. 85z, great photos but slow AF. Focus hold buttons can be set to activate Intelligent Preview. "Intelligent Preview"?
Pros: 24 mp - crop away, Durable, High Quality, Intelligent Preview, Manual Focus, Micro Lens Adjustments, Quick Accurate Auto Focus, What a view finder
Cons: Does not have "Eye Start", Mirror recoil loud slap, More noise than v4 A700
Summary: I could not have made an informed opinion until now, having learned so much about the camera in the last year and upgrading to first class optics I can safely say its one of the best cameras I have ever owned. (I have owned a fair few). The sensor is amazing as is the dynamic range settings.
Pros: Overall Feel, clarity and control, traditional features, versatility
Cons: choice of accessories (now becoming better). Battery life when tethered
Cons: -Støy over iso 3200.
