Summary: This is a very nice camera. It has great features for an affordable price. The screen is big and bright, customisable and easy to read. Menus are very accesible. The only defect is that, as usual, Sony does not use a standard SD memory card as in other cameras.
Summary: This camera is tiny, much smaller than my Canon, which is good because I did not want to lug a big, heavy camera on holiday no matter how good it is. The pictures are not super sharp but they are acceptable. The burst shot feature is useful - when I take pictures of the dog she refuses to pose, so I can often get a good one out of several taken rapidly in succession. The accompanying software is basic and simple to use, as is the camera itself.
Summary: Such a brilliant camera, the photos are fantastic quality and there's a video function on it which has made my Canon video camera redundant. I wouldn't be the most technical person - and you don't need to be for this camera, it's so simple to use!! Yes, it does take a couple of seconds to turn on and you need to press the button slightly to focus before taking the photo but you couldn't even call these issues negatives!
Summary: We've had this camera for one and a half years now. It's produced some great quality photos for us. The battery life is good. We can take it out without worrying that it'll die before the day's up. It can be charged via USB so gives you options to top-up in the car while out on the road.
Summary: Usual Sony quality which is excellent. have had it for a while now. picture quality is excellent, accepts 64gb cards. movies are full 1080 and very clear and crisp. only thing i found which broke on mine was battery/sd card compartment. its not made particularly well and the plast catch has become damaged. shouldve used a better system. but overall a very good camera.
Summary: A couple of months ago, I was looking for a replacement camera for my beloved Canon IXUS 970is (now suffering from small defects after using it constantly for several years). I was looking for a compact camera that can take great shots in low light, whilst providing good overall picture quality. I am sad to say that although this camera is very reasonably priced, it has 3 major drawbacks.
Summary: This is a really great compact camera and has many features that I find on my bridge camera. It is super compact and fits easily in your pocket. The picture quality is superb, and it has quite a few features for effects such as 3D, background de focus and a whole host of others so you can play around with your photography in a similar way to a SLR. The zoom is very good and the burst shooting is the best I have seen. Also the menu's are very easy to navigate.
Summary: I've had this camera for 3 months and love it. Such an easy to use camera, with dedicated video recording button. Was also looking at a Canon Ixus model, but that recorded video in quicktime format which was no good for me.
Summary: I had previously bought a FUJI finepix camera for a trip where charging a battery wasn't an option. It lived up to the marketing and survived the 5 day hiking trip with battery to spare. Wanting to upgrade, I bought the Sony DSCWX7 and am disappointed by the fact that it has SUCH a short battery life. Lasting a weekend seems too much of a challenge and I've missed a few nice moments because it needed to be charged.
