Summary: This was purchased as a gift for a family member, but I've gotten to fuss around with a bit aswell. The pictures are very nice, the video slightly less so. For the price I paid it's quite nice.
Summary: I read through so many reviews before deciding that this was the right camera that fit within our budget. We took this on our family trip to Disneyland. It was small enough to fit in our pockets or zipper pocket in our bag. The best feature for our family is that it will power on and is ready to shoot in a matter of seconds.
Summary: Loved this camera, especially the soft skin feature. Then, without warning, the screen had a big grey square right in the middle. Took a picture, turned the camera off, and 5 minutes later went to take another picture, and the screen became defective... could only partially view the photos taken due to the grey square. I didnt drop it or agitate it in any way to cause the issue.
Summary: Operations: I have had this camera for year now and it is the best for me for the money, better quality and speed than my previous 'pocket' cameras. That is except for the slanting inward at the tops of my pictures. But all of my Sony's have done this. Mostly I use it with the "Easy Mode" which makes everything automatic. The menu is a mess for me since I haven't learned it. I am sure the advanced settings would be nice but I don't have time nor the need for this.
Summary: This camera is my 4th point and shoot over the past few years and my second Sony. Firstly, the camera design and feel is all good with fairly easy controls and very lightweight yet solid. Compared to other cameras this took pics much faster (less delay) with highest resolution settings. It seems to constantly be auto adjusting the focus when On, which may be helping it respond faster which was great for catching moments. Resolution at zoom was pretty good as well.
