Summary: Camera has great zoom but its not very consistent at all as fat as focus to produce sharp images..another problem is the flash, its in a bad spot, the camera is small and your finger may block the flash and when you do move your finger to allow the flash it overexposes the image....also when you hold this camera its very easy to drop. For outdoor photos its ok.. if you want blurry images..and its ok if you want overexposed indoor photos...do i recommend it?? no...
Summary: I ordered this product, and I returned it because I didn't like it at all. I had WX7 before it, and I expected the same quality in this camera, but it was nothing similar to my WX7. This one is way bigger and heavier (even the battery is much heavier). It doesn't fit in the pocket easily. But the biggest issue was its design. It doesn't have the save flag design with rounded corners, an hated its that is not convenient at all.
Summary: Started out taking good photos, but after having it for a few months, it does not take good photos at all. Action shots are blurry and flash makes people look either too white or orangey. Very disappointed.
Summary: Perhaps Amazon got a bad batch of cameras, as my experience echo's the previous review. Photos are average at best, but the video is absolutely terrible. The video from my Sony TX20 looks clearer and sharper than this camera. I was hoping for video that would be somewhat close to the TX100, but it's a far cry. The video on my iPhone 6 blows this camera away.
Summary: I was very disappointed in this camera. At first glance images seemed okay, but once viewed on a computer monitor, the images looked blatantly unnatural and pasty. I tried all of the available modes and settings and could not get the pictures to come out any better. I'm not sure if it was the camera trying auto sharpen or just the small censor needed for that level of zoom.
Excerpt: excess contrast disappointing resolution, poor color gradients, red-orange casts, washed out flash pics. I need a camera that takes good pics, not full of gadgets. Underperforms my 6 yr old Pentax p/s, way too expensive.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good Battery Life
Cons: Complicated Controls, Poor Image Quality, Poor in Low Light
Summary: I'm in the market for a camera introduced in 2014, so I bought both this and the Canon SX700 HS. The Canon took gorgeous pictures but I wasn't too happy with the low light quality so I bought this Sony thinking the superior sensor would do the trick. Well, this camera does perform better in low light and it's a more pocketable camera but that's where the similarities end. The photo quality in daylight was disappointing. They were not as true-to-life as the Canon.
Disappointed - no reason to upgrade from the WX300 - no background defocus

Summary: After using this camera a few days, the "delete" button as well as the flash button have been acting strange. I don't treat my cameras roughly, so I think this may be defective. I don't think "it's me" since I know my way around most cameras in general. I love the WX300; this upgrade model, not so much. I see no reason for an upgrade. Save your money and buy the WX300 instead.
'As full as an egg' - feature filled, but ultimately unreliable

Summary: Pros: I like the weighty, solid feel of the camera in my hand. Tactile, substantial, businesslike; truly a cut above an ordinary camera. The white camera is smart and tidy in appearance. All instructions are on line, when you download/bookmark the Sony help guide manual. It is good to work through this as the flimsy paper instructions included are very basic. The zoom is marvelous; photos taken with it are really impressive.
