Sony Cyber-shot W570 review

What Digital Camera
22 June 2011
  • Summary: The Sony Cyber-shot W570 is a good-looking, small and slim compact camera. It's ideal for simple point-and-shoot work, is responsive in use and takes reasonable pictures (although the 16MP sensor has more pixels than are needed). The 25-125mm equivalent zoom is rangey enough for a whole variety of shots and the autofocus swift to focus on subjects.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W570 Review

Tech2
12 February 2011
  • Summary: The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W570 is available in India at a maximum retail price of Rs.9,990. One may be able to get it for a little lesser as well in the market. This camera is an above entry-level camera and it is designed keeping both genders in mind. It is a great camera, while going out partying or any get together. The fact that it is quite small and can be carried around easily is a major plus point of this camera.

PhotographyBLOG

  • Excerpt: Sometimes it's possible to look at a camera and realise that the design is so astonishingly simple that rivals must have looked at it and slapped their foreheads. The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W570 employs a simple, small rectangle with a large lens barrel on the front accompanied by a small flash. The shutter release button echoes the shape of the camera applying a running theme of rectangles.

Expert Review

PC Advisor
10 July 2011
  • Excerpt: Sony's Cyber-Shot DSC-W570 isn't the company's slimmest camera (for example, the older TX9 is slimmer), but it certainly is small. It's approximately the size of a flip-phone (anyone remember those?), yet it packs a 16Mp CCD sensor and a 5x optical zoom lens with a range of 25-125mm. However, to keep the camera this small, compromises in usability have been made and the W570 can be uncomfortable to use.
