Summary: I don't normally write reviews. This camera is horrible! I had another Sony cyber-shot and loved it, and although a few other people complained of blurry pics, many people seemed to love this camera so I gave it a shot. At first I did love it, took great pictures. After 2 months of use my husband and I can't get it to work.
Summary: I bought this camera because of the great reviews and price. However, the screen is extremely "fuzzy" (for lack of a better word); no matter what setting I use in whatever kind of lighting, the pictures are blurry and unfocused (I even tried using a tripod to help stabilize the camera). I have yet to contact Sony, but given other reviews on here, I'm not holding my breath that they'll be very helpful. Very disappointed in this camera.
Summary: Within a month the lens locked up. Lens opens, partially closes, refuses to take pictures, tells you to turn off/on, repeat. Sent it in (under warrenty) for repair. Now 5 months later - the lens is locked up again. It's no longer under warrenty. Piece of junk.
Summary: We bought this as a replacement camera for our teenage daughter, who likes to take photos of her friends and younger sisters. Another daughter has the Sony Cybershot DSC-750 and it has been a great camera for a 10 year old and our whole family to use, so we bought this one thinking it would be similar with maybe a slight improvement in megapixels etc. Not the case. The camera feels cheap, the display is terrible, and the controls are confusing and very un-intuitive.
Summary: I bought this camera before I went on a trip to the Bahamas. Took great pictures, loved the quality. Then after maybe one month the camera started screwing up. It would start erratically switching between programs (from Auto to panoramic, etc.) while I was trying to just take a photo. I sent it to Sony, and surprise--they didn't find anything wrong with it. They just reset the camera, which did absolutely nothing.
Summary: This was our 3rd Sony Cybershot camera (we really love the cameras). It is super easy to use and takes great pictures. However, we've had a lot of issues with the quality of the camera itself. The first one just needed to be upgraded - so we got another Sony since we'd been so happy with it. Second one I believe we got sand in at the beach - totally our fault. The third one just randomly got a white screen last week. First one half, then the other.
Summary: I love cameras, and I love taking pictures of my two little girls. I write a blog, and take lots and lots of pictures of my kids. I pose them some time, but most of the time it's just hanging out looking cute, so I take a pic. I can take 70 pictures with this and get maybe 10 good ones. And I have missed so many sweet family shots because I only had one shot to take- not 70. I have tried it on every one of the cutesy little settings, and they all blur terribly.
Summary: After owning and loving the 12.1 megapixel DSC-200 (earlier version of this model) I thought that surely the newer version would be even more fantastic. However, upon just holding it in my hands, I noticed that everything seemed more flimsy. True, it is a lighter, slightly more compact design, but the quality isn't as good as the old version.
Summary: I purchased this camera from Walmart on June 3rd 2011 for a trip I was planning to Arizona. (I live in North Carolina). The first pictures I took with the camera were really great and couldn't wait to take pictures of the wide open mountains ranges in southern Arizona. However, on the third day of my trip I noticed the LCD began to look warped. Since this was my first digital camera I'm not sure what was wrong.
