Summary: This is a neat compact camera which takes excellent photos. You can get in real close for detail or zoom in. The pictures are clear and sharp. It is easy and straight forward to use. It is light which is good but that is probably due to it being a bit plastic. I would recommend a case to protect it.
Beware - does not shoot HD movies as stated in the description

Summary: This is a decent small compact digitial camera. For stills, it is a perfect in-pocket camera for those that like to print their photos out rather than just look at them on screen. But beware - the description says it shoots HD720p footage. It does not. They have cut and paste the description of the W570, not the W520. This only does 320x240 @ 30fps resolution. So not good if you want to watch it on a TV, but fine for youtube.
Summary: All Sony devices require you to buy only their own batteries, leads and often memory too. You might like to ask yourself what the total cost of ownership will be when these factors are taken into account. I bought a third party battery and the camera refused to let me use it, saying it was "not compatible"! Sony only let you use SONY batteries - why is this, do you think? I will never buy a Sony product again.
