Great Camera for the Money
9 September 2012
Excerpt: After uploading my digital pictures online for a couple of months and being told my pictures weren't high enough quality, I figured out my camera was outdated, so we searched for a new digital camera. Sony is definitely a name we trust in electronics, so we looked into Sony cameras. I was very pleased with the reviews I read for my Sony Cybershot, so I decided on this camera.
Excerpt: This camera is a great addition to my suitcase. Everytime I travel I keep it along. It's so small and comes with its' personal charger.. no need to carry AA or AAA batterries. I like the photo clarity for its' small size plus the photos don't take a lot of memory on my memory stick given that it's a 12 MegaPix.
Excerpt: I love the Sony Cybershot 200 digital camera and carry it everywhere with me. It is easy to use and has a feature that allows you to have pop ups on the lcd screen to tell you what a button does if you do not know so it is easy to use for anyone. The picture quality that comes out of this camera is amazing but if you don't need the extra pixels don't buy it because the file sizes can add up to be quite large after time.
almost 4 years and JUST discovering what a gem this little camera is
Desert Gypsy "A Brooklyn Girl Out West", Amazon
13 December 2011
Summary: I bought this camera in January 2008 (now December 2011) and I am just beginning to discover what a fine little camera it is. Way back when I purchased it I had wanted something idiot proof to keep in my pocket so I would be able to take either pictures or video on a moments notice and being a bit of a techno phobe I didn't want anything complicated.
Summary: I bought this camera because Consumer Reports rated it #1 for subcompact digital cameras. It was also only $299 here on Amazon.com (the price listed today is over $400). I have four criteria when it comes to a compact digital camera. 1. It must have a fast response time, both when I turn it on and in between shots. This Sony Cybershot is AWESOME. It is literally on and ready to shoot within milliseconds of hitting the power button.
Summary: I had a 7 megapixel before this one. The only re3al difference with this camera, is that it's actaully bigger & heaveier than my 7 megapixel (also a Sony cybershot) and the menus are harder to get to. But it has extra featuers such as allowing a function for taking pictures of fireworks. Overall, I like this camera & would recommend it for people who want a nice point & shoot camera.
Summary: I love the camera although with any new technology you have to learn to use it because it does so much that you have to stay on top of the settings for every picture you take, like the macro for close ups, display settings and light. One thing I have learned is that you can forget taking action shots. The delay is way slow. In my case I tried to catch my son's hand raised after a wrestling match win and the delay of 1 1/2 seconds is just enough to miss it.
Summary: This does all that it says it will but the computer connection is insane, keep the minature USB not this unique port that doen't fit anything else!Great pictures and HD is amazing but that port on the bottom!
