Summary: My husband surprised me with this camera on Valentines day in 2007. I was excited to have a small camera. After taking multiple photos I realized they all lacked clarity. We sent the camera in to Sony and had it sent back to us (supposedly they "fixed" it) . The photos still looked awful. We returned it and purchased a Canon which had much better clarity. Meanwhile, my sister purchased the Sony Cybershot and I noticed all of her photos lacked clarity as mine had.
almost 4 years and JUST discovering what a gem this little camera is

Summary: I bought this camera in January 2008 (now December 2011) and I am just beginning to discover what a fine little camera it is. Way back when I purchased it I had wanted something idiot proof to keep in my pocket so I would be able to take either pictures or video on a moments notice and being a bit of a techno phobe I didn't want anything complicated.
Summary: I bought this model because it was not in production and I could not find it in camera stores. I had purchased it years ago for its macro, B&W and array of optional features that even some SLR's don't have. It is easy to operate and small enough to be portable and discreet when shooting. When I saw it on ebay at a very reasonable price I jumped on it! To buy a new similar camera would have cost 4 times the amount.
Summary: I was so surprised how easy this camera is to take pictures. The resolution is wonderful!!!! The Video works great as well. Don't forget the tripod. Resting the camera on a chair, table or other fixed object works ok but we really need to use a tripod when in the video mode. Watch out for lights causing glare on the lense after dusk. When zooming in (using the telephoto mode) the camera apts to be shakey handholding so try to use a tripod when you can.
