Excerpt: I bought this camera about a month ago, and its the first one .since then I've been taking pictures all over the place! In normal mode, you get very high quality pictures, but you start to see the true beauty of the camera in manual mode.
Pros: slim ,light weight and good look with easy functions
Summary: This is only my second digital camera the last one seemed very complicated.Well my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W17 came from Amazon last week and all I can say is wow what a beauty so easy to understand and use, as a 62year young lady pensioner I can honestly say I'd never go back to a film type camera.
Excerpt: >. My Sony Cyber-shot .< When purchasing a new digital camera, it is very hard to see to choose which one to buy as there are so many on the market, and now all the prices are being driven town.
Pros: Sleek Black with included picture package
Cons: Needs large memory stick - due to high quality
Summary: I used a cheap Aldi Traveller digital camera. It worked fine but was slow. Pictures were good as well. But then my daughter dropped it and the case openned up a bit. I pushed the case back in but it never worked properlythen on. The flash works occationaly. Pictures have funny colours.
Summary: WOW! My first digital camera. Didn't know what to expect. Picture quality outstanding. No loss of picture quality when printing A4. Easy to use in all areas. Macro results are superb. Re ignited my interest in photography!

Summary: Great shots in all situations when left on Auto. Fully featured for the average user. Redeye effect is almost always there when using flash, even in redeye reduction mode. Its feels very solid but bulkyand heavy. Require a memory stick as the camera's memory is for just nine pictures.

Summary: Sony has to be my favourite make for digital cameras, and they did not let me down this time. The digital camera itself is very nice to hold and the screen will induce gasps from your friends. The 7.2 megapixel sensor allows even the most distant objects to be cropped at a very good size.
Summary: This is my first Sony digital camera, and is by far the best camera I have owned, and I have owned quite a few. It's easy to use as a point and shoot, and versatile in manual. The onscreen layout is superb, the controls easy to use. I get first class results form a very clever little camera.
