Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W130 (Pink)
4 November 2008
Summary: Don't spend your money on this camera. Has a slow camera time to take a picture, and the quality is horrible!
Pros: Small, pink and looks easy to use
Cons: This camera has a terrible quality. It takes it a long time to take the picture, and then the picture isn't clear. Very fuzzy, and when you zoom in, it only gets worse. I bought this camera 3 days ago and it is going back to the store today!
Summary: I bought this camera after deciding to upgrade from a Samsung camera. I can honestly say it was the worst decision I made. The majority of pictures come out blurry and the camera never recognises the memory card. This means I have to eject and reload the memory card constantly in order to take a picture.
Summary: After 7 months of light use the lens cover mechanism developed a fault and will not open when you go to camera mode - fine for viewing old photos which is great when you want to remind yourself what this little box is meant to do...take pictures. The camera was a gift and the giver has lost the receipt. Even though the camera model was only introduced in Spring 2008 I am faced with Sony's minimum repair charge of £104.
Summary: I bought this camera just before Christmas and thought it was reasonable quality for the money, albeit with a slight shutter lag. Within six months the LED screen stopped working. Sony wanted £112 to repair as they would not repair under warranty (camera is just 6 months old and outside screen undamaged!!). Customer services were like a brick wall. I would never choose to buy another Sony camera as the warranty appears worthless and the camera lasted just 6 months.
Summary: I purchased a replacement cybershot back in December (in time for Xmas pictures of children etc). My previous had broken down - shutter was jammed and expense of repair made no sense. The same has happened to my replacement, within 3 months of purchase - stay clear!!!
