Summary: This camera is typical of Nikon's quality digital camera product. The body is well designed, not plasticky but solid metal with the feel of quality. It has a great lens and also can use a external flash making it more usefull in various picture taking events.
Summary: I love the Sony DSC-V3. I have had the Sony DSC-V1,DSC-F717 and DSC-F828, they are also great cameras but i like the V3 better since it does not have any barrel distortion or chromatic aberrations. Thanks to the Carl Zeiss lens! However, the V3 tends to choose F8 when in Auto or program mode.
Summary: Want a camera that acts like a 10MP larger sensor camera...Has features that are unique like Laser night focus and IR night photos... Has real 14 bit RAW and a lens that holds shadow and highlights making it more like 16 bit...Full manual settings and super bright viewfinder...
Summary: My wife had owned this very same model for years with no problems. So, when it did present problems, we decided not to get it fixed, (we wore it out) but, replaced. I knew that ebay would be the place to look. The seller that I won this camera from was great, very friendly & helpful.
Summary: This IS and Excellent camera, if you need what it can provide. It won't give you a big zoom range, but what zoom it has can help you stay a comfortable distance from portrait subjects. (4X zoom) It give you the option of using Sony's Memory Stick, or Compact Flash style memory.
Summary: I've had this beauty since December 2005 and amidst all the hoopla over newer and better(?) cameras, I still say that this Sony V3 is just about one of the best I've ever used and I've gone through a wide range from the (also classic) Minolta SRT-101 to the Nikon F3 to the new DSLRs like the Nikon...
Summary: Can there truly be a classic among digital cameras? Technology moves so quickly that one year, let alone five, is an eternity. And yet, try to take a Fuji F30 or F31 away from its owner and you'll get the Charlton Heston NRA line (from my cold dead hands)!
