Summary: Have used in snow, the swimming pool, the ocean. The screen IS very small, but so is the camera. For us, the biggest 'pro' is that it is used with one hand in an ergonomic position. This leaves the other hand free to help stay put when underwater, and it's easier to keep the horizon where it belongs - horizontal! REALLY wish Sony would update this model, but instead, it's not even available anymore.
Summary: I kayak, surf, and fish all over Southern California. This camera has let me bring my first hand experiences to my family and friends. From awesome sunrises and sunsets on the water. To getting great shots of migrating whales, dolphins, seals, birds...well you get the idea. I killed my first "regular" digital camera in about a month on the water...and I babied it. No need to baby this camera. Rugged, waterproof, and best of all compact one handed operation.
Summary: I used the camera for around a year on ski trips and to capture some images of our fish in the backyard pond. The colors are accurate, the LCD easy to see (although a little small,) and the 2 mp images make decent 5x7 images. The only thing I did not like about the camera (and this is a common problem with smaller models) is that the flash is too close to the lens. If there is any dust in the air or silt / debris in the water, you’ll see it as backscatter.
Summary: This is a great little camera. I went to a indoor water park that suplied it and was verry impressed. I am thinking of going out and buying one, took great pics. Only down fall is it seemed to burn through the batteries but not cure if they had the best ones in it.
