  • Summary: The best, compact camera from Sony! Old but gold! I recommend this camera for Sony Lovers! The only bad thing is the recall from CCD! Careful!

Great little camera, takes great pictures

  • Summary: This Sony Camera takes some great pictures. I purchased this camera new early in 2004 and took it to Mexico. between the amazing scenery and compact size of this camera i got some pretty amazing pictures. I've used the DSC-U20/30 for a few years off and on (I buy them and eventually sell them again) With a 2.0mp sensor, the pictures may not be up to today's standard, however this little camera takes amazing pictures which are true to color.

Fantastic tiny digital camera from Sony

  • Excerpt: "...written a review on the Sony DSC-T70 and mentioned that my love of the Cybershot range started with this camera, I thought it only fair to justify this statement with a review. Behold the Sony Cybershot DSC-U30, successor to the U10 and U20. I actually bought this camera off a friend in June 2004 and paid him £80 plus a chauffeured journey from London to Gatwick (so about the equivalent of £100). This was one of the finest £100 I ever spent. The model ...

  • Excerpt: "...hoping that with it been Sony it wouldn't let me down... unfortunately however it did. The first problem with this camera is that you take it out to take snaps so you can preserve the memories of your nights out etc... unfortunately however the ISO equivalent rating this camera has even when in great conditions is so poor that almost every single photo I ever took with it was badly blurred. The only way around this was to force people to pose perfectly ...

  • Excerpt: "...I decided to purchase the Sony Cybershot, it was purely based on size - it really does matter! I wanted something that would slip easily into a pocket and that I could take out and about without loading myself down. Strictly speaking this is a 'gadget' camera and as such performs its function well. It fits into the palm of your hand, it's light, and if your eyesight is good enough to make out the image on the small screen (approximately postage-stamp ...
  • Pros: Size, size, size !  Great outdoor shots too
  • Cons: takes shockingly poor indoor shots, no zoom .

  • Excerpt: "these cameras really are great, they are the perfect camera for a night out. you simply stick it in your pocket and go. they are relativly easy to use just point and shoot and let the camera do the rest although editing the working the menu is a bit strange at first.. uploading the pictures is one of the easyest thing with this package. just plug in and browse. the picture quality is good although not the best but what do you expect for the price ...

Sony's Hotshot Cybershot

  • Excerpt: "...don't want to pay for sony price there are plenty of other brands that are compatible with this model. BATTERY - The rechargable battery life is quite good (i'm useless at remembering to recharge and this has lasted me a fair few days). What is useful is that it takes 2 AAA batteries which means that if you're abroad and have forgotton your charger you can easily replace them (although as a rule standard batteries don't last half as long) PICTURE ...

Sony Cyber-shot

  • Excerpt: "This tiny camera is ideal for popping into your pocket or handbag (for the girls)!! The removable memory stick enables you to easily store large numbers of photos. Comes with an 8mb memory stick, but if you're after taking a large number of pictures, a larger one is always a good idea and readily available. The main disadvantage I have found with this camera is the battery life. It takes two AAA batteries, but uses them up usually within the day, ...

  • Excerpt: "I won my Cybershot DSC-U30 in a competition that I didn't know I had entered, through BT internet. I love the small size of the camera and the neck strap is very handy, being as the camera is lightwieght I find it is very convienent to wear it around my neck. Equally it is small enough to fit in a pocket (even jeans!). The picture quality is quite good when set to the highest setting, though on the supplied memory card it only allows me 14 shots. ...
