Summary: I bought this camera for my wife who has problems with advanced digital products. She had a similar type Sony cybershot but dropped it. This one, while close in function to the old one, is more advanced and takes better pictures. The high pixel rate gives more options.
Summary: Good pocket camera, very feminine and small, touch screen sometimes gets annoying as you can change settings easily without realizing...overall i am happy it performs as i expected for the price of it
Summary: But, it sometimes does not turn on. The green light stays on, but nothing happens. I have to remove batteries and replace them, restarting the camera. Then it works fine ... superb quality and portability.
Summary: I like this camera very much. Positives include small size, smaller than a cell phone. Picture quality is excellent. Almost every type of photography can be taken. Negative is only one, the menus that come up are less than obvious.
Summary: Something compact as a mobile phone which can take good pictures and has fun features. It uses a Carl Zeis lens which is great but very little, so dont expect amazing photos. They are good, not excellent. The ISO of the Camera works great, also in low light.
Summary: The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX66 camera is pretty good, but in my opinion not worth the full price (currently $350 through Amazon). It excels in some areas and not so much in others.
