Summary: I really don't believe you can get a better point and shoot camera than this one. It is small, sturdy, reliable. It has many functions that I would not have expected in such a small camera. It is so easy to carry around in a pocket without weighing you down and it hardly takes up any space in your pocket. The zoom does not produce a lens that pops out of the front.
This is one of the best camera's I've ever bought!!

Summary: Yes, I do have a couple of DSLR's and new iphone's and I still bought this. It shoots great pictures and great video. I've added a 32gig mini SD card and I could shoot a 2 HR HD 1080 video movie with my kids and fam with out any issues. very simple to use and the thing that I like the most about it is the image stabilization when you'r shooting video or taking pictures... love it!!
Many improvements but the TX7 is MUCH better...read...

Summary: The TX55 is surprisingly smaller, thinner, lighter. For some, however, this may be an issue (due to such small size) and it falling to an immediate death. The camera has a new format as far as the display (icons. The SD card has been "micro"sized and does not have room for a regular size SD card. NOTE: There is no clear indicator (other than the user manual) as to which side to insert the micro SD card.
