Excellent camera, I think it is an excellent cost ...

Summary: Excellent camera, I think it is an excellent cost benefit ratio. The camera is fast, I can pull it out of my pocket, slide down the cover and shoot a picture in less the 5 secs. The image quality is excellent for a point and shoot camera. It just work wonders in low light, even without flash (though you'd have to be VERY steady in that situation). There is a fast shooting mode for quick movements, like a pool somersault or a racing car, which works great.
Summary: Sony almost always produces reliable products. This is no exception. I had just put my previous one thru the washer in the pocket of my jeans. :(( So I was looking for something more water resistant and able to take minor falls. I also wanted something that was not the same old, boring matt black color. I love: the bright color, the slide panel/ON, voice activated snap, and Zoom control.
Summary: I bought this because I need a water proof camera. The picture quality is not the best but it's good enough considering it's water proof and low cost enough. Everything works well, nothing wrong with it.
Summary: Let me preface this by explaining this is a two part review, one side about the camera, and the other about sony's customer support. The camera by itself I would only give 3 stars, because while it was amazing, and I loved using it, it did ultimately leak on the 4th day of our trip (right as I got into the water at stingray city, nonetheless! Heartbreaking!).
Summary: This is a relatively inexpensive waterproof camera. It takes pretty good pictures out of the water, which was most important, but it is a neat little perk to also be able to get it wet without worrying about it breaking. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a viewfinder other than the screen which is impossible to see in bright sun (beach) conditions.
Excerpt: The Sony DSC-TX20 is a surprising workhorse of a point and shoot that can be appreciated by both professional photographers and inexperienced users. This camera has a go-anywhere-at-anytime mentality that has continuously impressed me over the last two months I've been touring Europe.
Summary: The camera is great. It takes great pictures and works under water. I had the best time taking pictures in the pool and water rides. The only thing that I would complain about is the battery life. I have to carry 2 extra batteries to last a whole day of taking pictures and videos. Also switching modes is a little tricky. I usually can get around camera relatively easy but not with this one. I leave it on auto and it takes great shots.
Summary: The reason I bought this camera is because it is waterproof. My wife and I had so much fun during the vacation at the beach, taking pictures underwater and while surfing. I'd say this camera is a MUST if you're going to take pictures at the beach/swimming pool. The only downside I can think of: The camera kept getting vapors/steam near the lens.
Summary: well it did what i needed it to, that is take pics at the beach and some under water shots while snorkeling. however, thank goodness i bought two! one was a bit faulty.... camera specs says water resistant down to 16 feet... well i was only in about 4 feet of water when i got a little shock. water got in and damaged the battery. the second one however worked like a charm and i was pleased with the images!
