Good value for the price

  • Summary: Very compact and ready quickly. Small screen makes it difficult to position shot exactly, especially in bright light. Cannot see image at all. Still haven't figured out all the settings even though it is auto focus.

Camera Amazing, Warranty Not So Much

msm, Amazon
6 September 2012
  • Summary: I purchased this camera on a Black Friday Special so I got it for a great deal. The camera is awesome. It takes photos well, the blur feature is super cool, and it also works well underwater.

Decent While It Lasts...

Seth Spitz, Amazon
27 July 2012
  • Summary: After 10 months and already 1 repair to Sony, I was traveling with the camera on my honeymoon and while in a case in my backpack the screen cracked. Sony does not cover it under a year and within the 90 day warranty of my previous defect (camera itself just cracked...) so now it's useless.

For underwater and great panoramas, but very slow.

Jorge, Amazon
10 June 2012
  • Summary: I bought this camera for the only purpose of having a camera that I could take with me all day long and use it everywhere, even at the beach or underwater and create amazing panoramic shoots. I'm an amateur photographer and I use my Nikon D90 camera for taking pictures, most of them in manual mode.

  • Summary: Need to be careful with handling, pretty thin, butter fingers and thick ones - watch out! Compared to my earlier Sony - images not as sharp especially in low light and when dynamic

PROGRAMMING FUNCTIONS DIFFICULT!

Edward Phillips, Amazon
11 March 2012
  • Summary: The camera takes very fine pictures IF it's possible to figure out how to set the various necessary controls. The use of the touch screen makes it a lot harder than with an earlier version of the same camers I have and it's hard enough!!!

  • Excerpt: I go this camera prior to a trip to Hawaii to use underwater, and to have later as a carry-everywhere camera. The main reasons I chose it over other underwater cameras were: 1. Lens protection when not in use. 2. High quality results with exmor sensor. 3. Super close macro distance (~1cm). 4.

Less than I have expected

Tanya, Amazon
22 October 2011
  • Summary: Pros: easy to operate with one hand the video is really good quality (even with the lowest resolution) Cons: it has to be your right hand (do not laugh Cause the left one most likely will get in the way of lens and the object you are shooting (so watch your fingers!) the touch screen works sLOWly.

  • Excerpt: I use this camera for 3 months now. On trips, underwater and everyday also. Before this i used a Canon Ixus 220 HS. I bought this camera because of the underwater and video functions. I knew that i will have to make compromises, but maybe too many.
