Good value for the price

Summary: Very compact and ready quickly. Small screen makes it difficult to position shot exactly, especially in bright light. Cannot see image at all. Still haven't figured out all the settings even though it is auto focus.
Summary: I purchased this camera on a Black Friday Special so I got it for a great deal. The camera is awesome. It takes photos well, the blur feature is super cool, and it also works well underwater. The only cons about this camera are that it is hard to dry after getting it wet due to the slide front feature, and the warranty is terrible. I purchased the camera in November and it is now September. After following all instructions, I took the camera in the water and it leaked.
For underwater and great panoramas, but very slow.

Summary: I bought this camera for the only purpose of having a camera that I could take with me all day long and use it everywhere, even at the beach or underwater and create amazing panoramic shoots. I'm an amateur photographer and I use my Nikon D90 camera for taking pictures, most of them in manual mode.
Excerpt: I go this camera prior to a trip to Hawaii to use underwater, and to have later as a carry-everywhere camera. The main reasons I chose it over other underwater cameras were: 1. Lens protection when not in use. 2. High quality results with exmor sensor. 3. Super close macro distance (~1cm). 4. 24mm equiv wide angle 5. Nice and small for shirt pocket use.
Excerpt: I use this camera for 3 months now. On trips, underwater and everyday also. Before this i used a Canon Ixus 220 HS. I bought this camera because of the underwater and video functions. I knew that i will have to make compromises, but maybe too many. Satisfied: - picture quality - weight and dimension - panorama mode is amazing, i love it - appearance - video quality - low light I recommend this camera for those who does extreme sports and need a camera more rough than...
Summary: This camera is great for water sports or activities! The only problem is that once not using it in the water, there are water spots on the lens, which come through in all my average pics. I had bought this to be an all purpose everyday pocket camera, but unfortunately it just became an expensive water camera. I love the panoramic feature, but can't find any place by me that is capable of printing such sizes, so have to have them special ordered online.
Sony proprietary USB cable meant no vacation photos..

Summary: The camera takes fantastic photos and video for its size. Easy and fun to use and you simply can't beat the shutter lag (IE: it takes fast photos). Haven't tested the waterproofness yet, but from other reviews sounds like you don't want to push your luck. My only complaint, and the reason I rated this a 3 instead of 5 is the proprietary USB cable connection needed for charging.
Summary: Pros: easy to operate with one hand the video is really good quality (even with the lowest resolution) Cons: it has to be your right hand (do not laugh Cause the left one most likely will get in the way of lens and the object you are shooting (so watch your fingers!) the touch screen works sLOWly.
