too slow, too inaccurate, and too gimmicky

Summary: I brought this camera along with me on my trip to Central America to snap pictures in situations where I do not want to bring my D300. I was attracted by its compactness, lens, and touch screen. The pictures this camera took was pure crap. During my trip, there was nothing but sunshine with little cloud coverage. The pics taken on intelligent mode were overblown and could not be fixed. It absolutely refuses to dial down the exposure on its own.
Summary: I love how compact and easy to use this camera is. The touch screen works great, and the built-in User Guide is very easy to access and understand. Now I just need to test how it works under water...
Don't buy it...unless you buy with the waterproof case

Summary: IF you want a waterproof camera , DON'T BUY SONY WATERPROOF CAMERA BECAUSE IT'S NOT 100% WATERPROOF AND hopefully won't damage your holidays because you won't have a camera to take photos!! If you want a waterproof camera you could buy this camera if you buy the waterproof case but without you will be pushing your luck because it will leak water inside the battery and your memory card will be destroyed!
Summary: I love the camera enough to buy a USB cable instead of returning it - but the cable is absolutely essential, since Sony uses a proprietary USB port and it's impossible to charge the battery without the cable.
Summary: Im very happy with the new sony which i bought.the picture quality is amazing and there is a variaty of settings to choose from. The touch screen can become annoying and does not respond that well so you have to have patience.I have not used it underwater yet because many people say its only water resistant and not waterproof(and the warranty does not cover for it) I recommend this to people who want a good quality camera but dont nessasary need it for underwater.
Excerpt: I recently bought it as I got a good price thru amazon uk. I was well aware of its drawbacks, so I am happy. I want it for its water resistant property. So far great results even in low light situations. I am usually a Nikon D7000 operator. Problems: The well advertised and discussed.
Summary: The camera itself is good. I got this for my Christmas cruise travel. It does give us a lot of good photo when we did the snorkel. But I found the battery is really poor. I need to recharge it so that I can turn on it even if I just leave it for three days. This never happen to my canon camera. It really drive me crazy. I am not sure whether this is my camera's problem or it is common for this model.
Summary: I read lots of reviews on this camera before buying it, and half of them scared the hell out of me thinking that this waterproof camera wasn't going to be able to hack my vacation to the Caribbean. Those other peeps must have had a lot of misfortune, cause I used it exactly like the instructions say, and needless to say, I still have a full functioning waterproof camera after swimming around in the Caribbean and island hoping for 10 days.
Summary: Please save your money and do not buy this crappy camera. The battery charge doesn't hold. I fully charged it once, left it there unused for a day (camera was OFF), came back, battery is completely drained. Tried again the 2nd time, same issue. I should have stick with Canon. This is the crappiest camera I have ever had. I am extremely unhappy. Sony's customer service refused to give me a replacement too!!!!
awesome camera!! And on top of it, it is waterproof.

Summary: I wanted a waterproof camera for a long time,I checked all the reviews about lots of them, and a couple of friends had one but what I saw was that usually they are just that, a waterproof camera, and to get that, you needed to say goodbye to good pics, pics I have seen from some waterproof cameras basically only work well when it is really sunny otherwise they are too dark and blurry.
