Summary: not waterproof! not shockproof! paid 169 on black friday, and to fix it customer service is asking for over 220.... useless, ill never buy cameras from sony again, really bad customer service....
Summary: I've read the negative reviews on this product not being as "water proof" as expected, and I haven't dunk it in a pool, yet. It's been splashed a little, though. Otherwise this camera is pretty great for its class and price. It's no DSLR like my Nikon, but again it's a point and shoot so I didn't expect its blur background functionality to be that robust.
Camera got water in it on trip to Galapagos...ruined!!

Summary: I bought this camera a few months ago and used it quite a bit. But the reason I ordered it was for our most recent trip to the Galapagos. We went snorkeling and I used it on the first and second day and all was good. The third day I used it I noticed that I could not get it to work once in the water. When I got back to the ship I opened it up to take out the batter (figuring that the battery needed to be charged) only to have water come out!!
Summary: This camera is so great. It has awesome features and special effects. This magenta/pink color is just beautiful and the picture quality is amazing! The touch screen works very well, and it comes with a pen if you would like to use that instead of your fingers. Definitely recommend this product!
Nice Camera, Water Leaked Inside it Though... Got Replacement!

Summary: I decided to write a review so people would know that sony did give me a replacement camera (Only cost of $15 for shipping) after my first one got water inside of it. I had been looking for a good waterproof camera for a while to use while on cruises and other places while snorkeling. Generally, the camera has a great form factor. It takes sharp images and has a lot of neat settings, including 3D and panoramic pictures.
Summary: I bought this camera during a trip to NYC. I took more than 1 thousand pics, and they all look AMAZING in it's screen, I was so happy with it. By the time I got back home, I was eager to see the pics in the computer screen, thinking they must look even better there. but that it not what happened. The pictures look kind of dull, with a lot less contrast and definition than they looked in the camera screen...
Summary: Really enjoy using this camera. It easily fits in a pocket and I take it everywhere. It takes pretty good low light pics (HandHeld Twilight and AntiMotion Blur are amazing). Also have fun with the panorama scene mode. It takes very good pictures in good light and has lots of flexibility with various manual settings like white balance, exposure adjustment, etc... Water proof, shock proof, and freeze proof...I absolutely love this camera.
Summary: My son saved up and bought this camera. He LOVES it. He loves to videotape stuff, and constantly has it on him. Super buy. Just wish we would have waited a few more months before we bought it. The price went down a lot... Oh well. He has had it over 5 months, and it works great.
Summary: Its a very nice camera, picture quality is very good, touch screen is good. But the battery life is too bad. It does not continue even for 30 pics. If the battery is kept in the camera for 3/4 days, the battery got dead.
