Summary: I really like Sony cyber-shots. I think I used to own the first one they came out with. I've tried other small camera brands like Canon and Nikon, but I prefer the quality and ease of the Sony types. I really love the panorama option.
Summary: I needed a camera that was wateproof and easy to use for a sailing race across the North Pacific Ocean and this camera worked very well, albeit briefly. I found the camera easy to use even without glasses. The simple mode had large text and all the features I needed to quickly take pictures.
Summary: Awesome camera. The photos and features are great. Easy to browse through to view photos, explore features, and make adjustments. I strongly suggest purchasing the mini-tripod stand for planning photos and group shots with the timer.
Summary: Theses cameras are NOT waterproof. The gasket area/latch were fine before snorkling. The camara was submerged no deeper than 3 feet above the surface. I was in the water for less than 30 minutes. The battery compartment was flooded. Yes the latch remained closed the entire time.
Summary: I've had this camera a little over a year now and i absolutely love it ! ... had an issue with it earlier this year ... it refused to charge but when i took it to fix, the charger was apparantly defective. But other than that ... it takes really good pictures, the underwater feature works great.
Summary: Awesome camera actually is waterproof! I'm not into pocket point and shoots but this camera takes great pics. Even Underwater. Video is way better than expected. Compares to my Panasonic GH2 and Canon 60D.
Summary: I purchased this camera as an alternative to my $8000 DSLR when on vacation somewhere I didn't want to lug a lot of photography gear. There are plenty of reviews here with highly technical info, so I'll cover the basic pros and cons from my own experience.
