Summary: I love this camera. I bought it when it had first come out so paid a lot more but I fully recommend it. Picture quality is amazing, the features are great. I took it on holiday to Dominican Republic and used it in the pool and in the sea. It was also exposed to sand yet it kept working and taking ace pictures. Video quality is also great and surprisingly the sound recording is good even under water!!
Summary: The camera is very stylish and does a great job underwater. It takes nice pictures as well as very good quality videos. It would sound funny but I could wash this camera below tap just to clean it, explains that it is seriously waterproof. The only flaw in I could found is the movable flap on the front is little delicate and get worn out after some use.
Summary: I would have given the TX10 a 4/5 star review, before testing the waterproofness. This camera takes a great photo with a very nice panoramic sweep mode, including a wide choice of modes and settings. Despite all this, the SONY TX10 is NOT waterproof! After thoroughly checking the 'waterproof seals' as per the manual - which is quite some task - the TX10 froze and had stopped working moments after taking a very quick shallow dip in a privately owned swimming pool.
Summary: I had very high hopes for this camera, as a relative had a slightly older model and it had worked perfectly for about 2 years, also waterproof. Me and my partner booked a very expensive holiday and thought it only best that we buy a decent camera to capture the holiday. We received the camera, tested it once under water, no problems. Took it away on holiday had it for 2 days and it broke!!!
Summary: I ordered two of these for my daughters from trade in Amazon marketplace. Delivery reasonable and many updates on this but with the silver camera the touchscreen does not work properly. No response to any e-mails from tradeur once arrived so will have to try and get repaired via SONY . Instructions in English so i hope guarantee will prove to be valid as comes from Hong kong.
Excerpt: Product Title Sony Cybershot DSC-TX10 Producer of the Product Sony Price £269.99 Target Audience With such features you would expect professional photographers only, but from using this myself I can clearly see that it is open for everybody and will turn ametuers into professionals. Is the product for you?
Pros: Sweep Panoramas, Full HD Videos, Good noise performance, Waterproof/Freezeproof/shockproof .
Cons: Only 4x Optical zoom, Very pricey for a "Tough" camera
Summary: I've always been happy with Sony and so upgraded my camera to the DSCTX10 as I wanted to be able to take photos of the Northern Lights in Iceland. Good news, I saw the Northern Lights. Bad news, I was unable to extend the apperture length and so was unable to capture the splendour. However, in all other ways I loved the camera. It can be set on easy and make all the choices for you or you can set it yourself.
Summary: I bought the DX 10 as a replacement for my Olympus waterproof camera which packed up after 18 months (so much for it being tough). The sony takes great pictures and has some nice features (though you would expect so given the price). So far the waterproofing has been fine - I've been snorkelling for long periods over the past week and it's still going. Small droplets do get into the sealed doors, but this seems to be normal given that the same happened with my olympus.
Summary: I had an amazing Sony DSC-T100, but after 5 years of being dropped and skied over, it finally gave up the ghost. I also have a nice DSLR, so what I look for in my pocket camera is very small size, excellent image quality, versatility and good low light performance (like the old Sony).
