Sony warrenty stinks and they don't care

Summary: I see all the negative reviews for the camera leaking. I have one for the supposed shock proof warranty. I am a caver and this camera has been great for 5 months. I take it in my cave sack take photos go home clean it and it has always worked well (other than the dust spots from the flash). Anyway, last time i went i tossed my cave pack about 4 feet down below me. Later when i got the camera out the liquid crystals behind the glass had ruptured.
What I think about the TX10 after trying it out for couple of days

Summary: Let me start with the reasons for buying this specific camera: 1- I wanted a camera that could be easily concealed so I wouldn't look like a tourist when I travel abroad. 2- I wanted a light weight camera that wouldn't bother me when I go out, I am the type of person that would carry as much as my pockets can hold 3- Besides the above I wanted a full capability camera, with high quality pics, etc 4- I already have an older Sony point-and-shoot camera, T-90, which is...
Sony DSC-TX10 Waterproof Camera (works with the Sony Waterproof Housing MPK-THK)

Summary: First off I would like to say, I have owned the Sony DSC-TX5 and this DSC-TX10 camera is the big brother. Just like the TX5 with more features and equal quality. For all the negative reviews regarding water getting in; I have not had this issue. BUT as with any waterproof camera from any manufacture, there are bound to be customers who get water in the cameras and blame the design. Read the directions, take care of your stuff, and don't go deeper then recommended.

Summary: We needed a camera that could handle our upcoming honeymoon trip to Costa Rica and this camera delivered with flying colors. We do a lot of outdoors activities - hiking, kayaking, etc., so needed something small, durable & waterproof, but I didn't want to give up picture quality. This camera fills all those reqs to a T. When it comes to cameras, I'm a point & shoot person. I don't know about white balance, shutter speed, etc.
Excerpt: I use this camera for 3 months now. On trips, underwater and everyday also. Before this i used a Canon Ixus 220 HS. I bought this camera because of the underwater and video functions. I knew that i will have to make compromises, but maybe too many. Satisfied: - picture quality - weight and dimension - panorama mode is amazing, i love it - appearance - video quality - low light I recommend this camera for those who does extreme sports and need a camera more rough than...
Summary: This camera is great for water sports or activities! The only problem is that once not using it in the water, there are water spots on the lens, which come through in all my average pics. I had bought this to be an all purpose everyday pocket camera, but unfortunately it just became an expensive water camera. I love the panoramic feature, but can't find any place by me that is capable of printing such sizes, so have to have them special ordered online.
Summary: I researched this camera and the comparable sony that is not for underwater, decided that extra feature would be worth the extra $100 and am SO GLAD we did it! I was nervous we might be one of those rare negative reviews where the water broke the camera immedietly but are happy to say we used it all over Hawaii, man-handled the poor thing, dropped on lava, used snorkeling multiple times a day, used by the volcano, at the beach, etc.
Summary: After researching waterproof cameras, I came upon this little gem of a camera. Wow! The clarity is superb, video quality is awesome and I would highly recommend for anyone looking to purchase a waterproof camera. The start up time that most people complain about is no big deal. The only problem I have with this camera is the fact that they don't send you a charger to charge the battery outside of the camera. Stupid little accessory you need to purchase.
Summary: I purchased this camera in April of 2011 shortly after it was released by Sony. I did not really get to use it until more than a month later on a trip where it was mainly used as an underwater camera. I closely followed all of the manufacturers instructions on keeping it clean and watertight. The cameral was never in more than 3 feet deep. The camera failed miserably. Many of the pics came out with millions of white spots and no focus.
