Summary: I received my camera six months ago. I loved the camera and took excellent care of it. I never opened the doors while the camera was exposed to water and always dried it off and checked for sand in the seals. I never took it deeper than six feet. I was in Hawaii last month and the camera quit.
Summary: I've just come home from a day at the beach and my camera is kaput, broken, won't work, finished, trashed... whatever you want to say. I thought (more like hoped) maybe the battery was dead. Nope! Some how, some way water got into my waterproof camera.
Summary: If you want to read the opinion of a professional photographer, read on... IMPORTANT UPDATE: The TX10 is NOT Compatible with Sony Marine Pack Enclosures or any other enclosures. Pros: 1) The TX10 shines in low-light still photography, it eliminates most of the noise even at ISO 800.
Do Not Buy This Camera - It Is Not Waterproof-Sony Warranty Terrible
22 October 2011
Summary: This camera is not waterproof! Sony will not cover camera for water damage, even within the warranty timetable. It is an underdesigned camera for the advertised features. To make my experience worse, dealing with the Sony Repair Center in Laredo, TX.
Summary: I took this camera to AUSTRALIA and the camera broke after 4 days into my trip! It is NOT waterproof! NOT WATERPROOF! I had a camera professional look at the camera and water got into the camera through a seal. Sony explained it is not covered under warranty.
Summary: Water entered around the usb compartment, corroded camera and it will not turn on. From the other reviews sony will not fix it. Luckilly i bought the extended warranty. Other than that it took great pics. Super pissed abt this.
We made a video for Sony about this camera, and all of the athletes we gave it to LOVED it.

Summary: Check out the video, 100% shot on this camera by athletes doing extreme, rugged, or just super fun sports. Everyone loved this camera, even the professional camera operators who shot with it wanted to keep it.
Summary: Pros: easy to operate with one hand the video is really good quality (even with the lowest resolution) Cons: it has to be your right hand (do not laugh Cause the left one most likely will get in the way of lens and the object you are shooting (so watch your fingers!) the touch screen works sLOWly.
Summary: Well, I'm totally disapointed with Sony because of this camera. I have just used it for 2 weeks then it died. First time using the camera under water, after few minutes, it stopped working, the screem got crazy and it never turn on again. I have burned 300 bucks on nothing!
Summary: Leaked the first time taken underwater at ten days old and it broke. Was On holiday so couldn't return it before the 14 day guarantee. Sent for repair only to be told that warranty doesn't cover water damage! Now being charged the cost of the camera again to get a replacement!
