Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T1

PC Magazine
30 July 2005
  • Excerpt: Like the Kyocera Finecam SL300R, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T1 has stunningly good looks but with good ergonomics rather than performance to back it up. The DSC-T1 is thin, flat, and rectangular like the SL300R, but it doesn't swivel and has more heft. The camera also comes with a convenient cradle/charger. The lens is protected by a sliding shutter, and although the DSC-T1 doesn't have an optical viewfinder, its massive 2.5-inch LCD enables easy viewing and sharing.

  • Conclusion: The expectation is that Sony will bring the Cyber-shot DSC-T1 camera on the market in January 2004. The first impression of this camera is that the design adds to the quality and durability of the camera. The body feels very solid and a lot of attention is paid to the small details which also lead to a positive experience. The presence of the large LCD screen (2.5-inch) shows the right direction in which the screens should be going, to my opinion.

Dc Resource

  • Excerpt: The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T1 ($550) is an ultra-compact camera with a 3X zoom lens, 5 Megapixel CCD, and large 2.5" LCD display. It has many of the bells and whistles found on Sony's higher end cameras, but it's still a (rather pricey) point-and-shoot camera. It's also one of only two Sony models to use the tiny Memory Stick Duo cards -- which are roughly the size of a Secure Digital (SD) card.
  • Pros: Very good photo quality for an ultra-compact, Stunning design; ultra-thin body packs 3X zoom lens, Super-fast performance, Huge 2.5" LCD display, VGA, 30 fps movie mode, Optional underwater case, USB 2.0 high speed support, AF-assist lamp, Histograms in record and playback mode
  • Cons: Expensive, Yet another memory card format to invest in, Images often have fuzzy, "video capture look", Redeye; weak flash, No manual controls -- not even white balance, LCD nearly impossible to see in low light, No optical viewfinder, No tripod mount

  • Conclusion: So what do we like about the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T1? Well, we felt the ‘live’ histogram display was useful for getting those technically correct exposures during shooting. And who can forget the large 2.5-inch, 211 000 pixel LCD screen that gave us clear previews and playback even under direct sunlight? Though minute in size, we enjoyed the comfortable and assured grip the camera provided us.

Sony Cybershot DSC T1 Review

LetsGoDigital
24 January 2013

7 December 2006
  • Summary: A digitális technológia hihetetlen lendülettel épül be az életünk minden területére.

  • Cons: Non debrayable
