Summary: Up front, I'm a layman when it comes to cameras and specs. I am interested in ease-of-use and functionality, however. The learning curve on the RX100 IV isn't too bad. There are so many features, it was overwhelming at first, but breaking it down into little sections really helped get me more...

Summary: I purchased this camera for an upcoming backpacking trip to Italy. As a professional photographer, I was looking for a compact camera, capable of producing quality, low noise, RAW files and I wanted a viewfinder. The Sony RX-100 IV does not disappoint!
Summary: I love this camera. I have two of them because I use it for scuba diving (in a underwater case). The features I like best are the leveling bar for when I take pictures of art and the white balance which I use a lot when photographing inside and underwater.

Summary: Best compact camera I have ever had....period. I have owned all previous versions and have grown to love it. Have used it in many trying circumstances .... bad light, storms, climbing volcanoes etc and it has never let me down. It is one camera that is always with me.
Summary: This camera is a great upgrade from a point and shoot option, as well as a great option for people who are used to a DSLR and want something smaller for travel! I currently use a DSLR for the most part. I have been using a DSLR for about 7 years or so.
Summary: I owned the model II of this camera. As a professional photographer, I don't always want to carry my heavy full-frame SLR and lenses. So the little Sony became my go-to "convenience" camera. And I found myself using it for video more than my serious video camera.
Summary: I've had a variety of digital cameras over the years and none of them have been quite as powerful or as versatile as my new Sony Cyber-shot. In addition to taking spectacular still photos, the camera shoots video (gorgeously I might add).
