Better than average point and shoot.

Excerpt: I use the camera for professional travel photography.
It's a compact and solid, point and shoot camera. The lens and sensor are professional quality. You can capture both RAW and JPEG.
It requires the purchase of a filter adapter to use 49mm filters, but it's worth it. Since a battery charger is not supplied, you should buy an extra battery and charger.
Pros: Good Image Quality, Good in Low Light, Small / Compact
Excerpt: Plan to use it instead of my cell phone camera. It does fit inside a front jeans pocket, so portability is good, and so one of my major concerns is gone. Burst mode is good. Still experimenting and learning.
Summary: I have been using this camera since August of 2012. I think it's the best available compact camera in the market. But it has one big Achilles heel: It is not built with heavy duty parts, and therefore will start failing after a a year around the time the warranty expires. It will start not responding to the zoom lever, the mode selector, the review switch, etc. I sent it for repair just before the warrantee expired, and they had to replace the master switch.
Excerpt: Bought this camera to replace a broken DSLR that we used previously. We were looking for something smaller that we could carry around easier to catch photographs of the kids, etc, but still get good photo quality. The camera is great and takes excellent photographs even in low light scenarios.
Pros: Easy To Use, Fast/accurate auto-focus, Good Image Quality, Good in Low Light, Large Clear LCD, Small / Compact
Excerpt: Solidly built (apart from the pop-up flash which feels like it could snap off if handled too roughly). Images are very sharp. Lots of flexibility in terms of settings, exposures, aperture control, white balance. Love that I can now take a shot with a point-and-shoot with a shallow depth of field. Amazing low light abilities. Very good video quality, though audio's lacking with built-in mic. (Sorry, no external mic input.
Pros: Fast/accurate auto-focus, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, Good in Low Light, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD, Short Lag Time
Excerpt: I wouldn't say I'm a camera expert, but this little camera packs a lot of punches. I purchased it mainly for the size and the ability to shoot very good HD video along with stills. I'm sure there are tons of features I don't know about or will ever use.
Pros: Fast/accurate auto-focus, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD, Short Lag Time, Small / Compact
Summary: This camera takes beautiful pictures!! It's certainly as close as one can get to a DSLR camera in my experience. I'm pleased with this purchase but it's still new and I've not worked through each function. I do feel it's a perfect choice for its features and professional like pictures for those who don't wish to change lenses and desire a pocket/light weight camera.
