Summary: This camera model is approximately 10 years old but works beautifully. Be aware, however, that the Memory sticks are difficult to find any other place than at an online dealer. It is well worth the bother to me.
Summary: I Love this camera! In fact, I love it so much that this is the second one I have purchased used on eBay. The first one lasted 10 years and I'll be happy if this one lasts half that long for the modest investment of $20.00. This camera is very simple to use, similar to the old 124 Instamatic cameras Kodak made in the 1970s; basically, point and shoot. Although the pixel size is much smaller than the newer cameras, the image quality is superb.
Was a quick sale and quick shipment... Definitely would buy more.

Summary: We alerady have one of these type of cameras, I bought a couple more cameras because they are easy to use, very durable and hard to mess up. The only problem is finding memory cards that are not at a "break the bank" price.
Summary: Good camera takes nice pics and you can really take the kind of picture u want. I read others reviews on various sites and they all said the truth on them. It is a high end amateur camera. The only things i dont like is you cant use the zoom while recording a video, and it has no on board memory and you have to have a memory stick to capture images. Other than that it is another well made sony product.
Summary: I bought a DSC P41 5 years or more ago. Loved it.. When it was lost I got a 12 mg new Sony and hated it. That's when I bid on the P71. I love it. No blurry photos and its really an amazing little unit for function. The results are that I bid on these cameras and similar for gifts. Skip buying the tiny big mb cameras and go back to these cybershots for pleasure.
Summary: This camera does everything a normal person needs. The video option does not offer sound, so compared to modern units, this is lacking. But for the cheap price, and easy of use, one can purchase a chip and put some 2 thousand digi pix on it.
Summary: Even without considering I purchased this camera that retailed for $400 in 2002 for less than $35 including shipping on e-bay, this is a pretty good little camera with all the features I could want as a casual photographer. Besides all the automatic modes, it does have extensive menus to adjust for the amateur's needs. Also takes videos (albeit without sound).
Summary: They are a very nice mid-size camera, easy to take in your purse, easy to run, and transfer pictures to print and send on the computer, it has a stick, also easy to use at instant photos,in Camera stores. Most of all it takes great pictures, up close and distance.
