Summary: I purchased this camera to replace a very nice Sony camera that was inadvertently lost. Although it's an older model (came out in 2002), it is a great little point and shoot with many great features. Although the CD that comes with the camera will not load into newer operating systems (I have Windows Vista), I am still able to remove the memory card from the camera and plug it into the media port on my computer and download everything just as well.
Summary: I needed this camera for the battery cover i have a dsc-p51 that IS A GOOD CAMERA but the battery cover had got messed up even though it will still work just something to make the appearance a bit better.
Summary: These cameras are classics. although they have low resilution by todays standards, they are very useful for e-mail, posting pictures on line, and for people just starting out in digital photography. The two that I purchased were not working (sold that way), but with little effort, they were working fine. I have a Sony H3, so the P-51's will be used as loaner units for friends.
Summary: I have to brag on this camera. This one takes very good pictures giving that it is 2 megapixel. It performs as would be expected according to product specifications. This camera is solid, durable and has stood up to being wagged around on vacations and being dropped more than once. It is going strong and I`m very pleased with this digital camera!
Summary: Bought a DSC-P30 for my wife to take to Disneyworld. The camera took such good pictures that when I had the opportunity to get the P-51 on E-Bay at a Steal, I jumped on it. I use the DSC-P51 at work, and it's perfect. Both of these cameras are excellent for picture quality, and very easy to use. True point-n-shoot cameras. There really isn't anything I don't like about the camera.
