Summary: My second DSC-P200 just quit working, and it was the same as my first one.....the lens is stuck and won't emerge from the housing. The power switch works and the unit tries to push the lens out, but something is stopping it.
Summary: I've had this camera since December 2005 as a christmas present. I have used it when I go traveling, partying, and hiking. I have used and abused this camera since I got it and it still works. What I like about this camera is it is handy. It can take video clips.
Summary: I love this camera for taking photos in ideal conditions. However, I have had the same problems as another reviewer - using the zoom in dimmer light - fuzzy pics. It just will not focus - goes in and out. In fact, now all the photos taken with zoom are fuzzy - even in sunlight.
Summary: I have had more almost a year to work with this camera, and still have to learn a lot more, but here's what I know as a novice digital camera user: 1)Fast Response Time and Vivid Outdoor Photos - In outside lighting conditions, this camera is fast with the automatic settings and the colors are...
Summary: I found this camera to generally be good and easy to use, plenty of features, easy control, effective flash, nice reproduction, nice display. The dual USB/Vid cable is nice too, it's useful just to plug it in the TV occasionally.
Summary: This camera takes great pictures outdoors. Indoors I have experienced consistent flash problems, mainly that the flash does not fire powerfully enough and the resultant image is almost black. I have checked digital camera forums and this is an issue shared by many other users.
Summary: I find this camera is great in normal daylight conditions but cannot get it to work in dim light/darkness. Can anyone advise me what I might to be doing wrong. I put it on auto mode (green camera icon) but when I try to take a picture in a dark/dimly light place (ie nightclub) the picture either...
Summary: I too have owned this camera for about 6 months now, and have constant problems with it, mainly with the flash. I bought the camera in time for my holiday to Cuba, and despite it taking wonderful photos in daylight hours, it is absolutely useless at taking photos in the dark or indoors.
Summary: I have owned this camera for nearly 2 years and it was brilliant until about 6 months ago when I started having problems with the flash. The pictures taken with the flash are either totally white, being completely over-exposed or very dark, being under-exposed.
Summary: I bought his product after reading all the reviews. I am an avid Sony fan. This camera is almost idiot proof. It's very easy to use and produces brilliant photographs under good lighting conditions. Using the Flash is a different matter.
