The Sony Cybershot DSC-N2 may appeal to some with its large 3" LCD and simple design. It is also capable of producing some nice images outdoors. Like most ultra-compact digital cameras, the optics are far from perfect with noticeable vignetting and corner softness. However, the most significant problem with this camera is that it is incapable of producing accurately colored images under artificial lighting. First, the automatic white-balance leaves a warm color-cast.... Read more
Again making waves in the digital camera marketplace, Sony innovates with the Cyber-shot DSC-N2. The camera's touch-screen technology allows for a clean body style (perfect for pockets) while enabling a much simpler user interface. Touch controls not only extend to the Sony N2's main menu functions, but also let you alter images in-camera with the Paint tool, and pinpoint focus exactly where you want it as you shoot, all with a simple touch of the screen. Add to this the... Read more
As with many 2006 compacts, the Sony Cyber-shot N2 is basically an enhanced version of its predecessor. Sony\u2019s essentially taken the earlier N1, fitted a slightly higher resolution sensor, increased the sensitivity, added support for the optional GPS accessory and swapped the silver finish for gold. In terms of the enhancements, the N2 is certainly capable of resolving plenty of detail under the right conditions. We suspect our sample may have suffered from some... Read more
The Sony Cyber-shot N2 packs 10 megapixels and a huge touchscreen into its small casing. The rather powerful flash, manual controls and great movie mode also add the appeal of the N2 to the crowds. Despite offering more manual controls (over exposure) than your typical compact, the Sony N2 lacks custom white balance and has limited aperture options. The large and visible 3 inch touchscreen may well impress your friends but may also make your shooting experience quite... Read more

This is my first digital camera and it really is great. I was immediately attracted to the color and the touchscreen and array of extra features further caught my eye. In addition to being a digital camera this product is also a video camera (of exceptional quality) and an MP3 player!! The size is great too. It's not too small, yet small enough to fit in my back pocket. It's heavy enough to feel secure in your hands but not so heavy that your hand gets tired just holding... Read more
I think Sony was the first to come out with a 3" LCD touch screen. It's so easy to use and has minimal buttons on the physical camera. It's funny to hand your camera to a friend and they can't figure out how to look at the pictures..LOL Read more
My Dad had bought me the N2 about 1 1/2 years ago and I fell in love with the camera. It took great pictures. A great point and shoot camera. But, that was it...a great point and shoot camera. In the video recorder mode you can only zoom in before you start shooting not during. Thumbs down. Also, the flash always bothered me. Three flickers and then it shoots...way too much flash. Other than that, it was awesome. Until, about a week ago my camera went blank. Now whenever... Read more
