Excerpt: This is a very versatile piece of equipment, used on hikes for telephoto, macro, landscapes even low light by the fireside. as well as shooting broadcast video when a large camera would have been too obtrusive. Major issues I have had are that it now has dust on the sensor after only a few uses, making it too unreliable for any professional use. Also auto focus will not work in lowlight ... manual focus is not an option on video setting.
Pros: Easy To Use, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD, Short Lag Time, Small / Compact
Cons: No Manual Focus On Video, Not Well Sealed Sensor
Excerpt: I'm disgusted with this camera. Photos are OK for a point and shoot camera. However, I bought it to have all in one photo / video. I liked the idea of having a telephoto zoom for video. The problem with the camera is primarily the video quality. It takes up to five seconds to focus every time you move the view, the audio clips (distorts) very easily, and the video is noisy. The video lacks life and color, even at highest quality settings.
Summary: Can't really see what you taking a pic of in bright light. There is no view finder. The digital screen is not adjustable and you CANNOT see it of you are shooting in the sun or in bright outdoor light. We took this camera on a 6 week vacation in Africa a regretted every second. We have always had sony cameras and been ultra pleased with their performance. We have used the automatic SLR type.
Summary: The case is not the correct case for this camera. There is not a chance you could fit the camera into the case provided with the bundle. I considered the bundle a good value when purchased, however it is a waste of money. You end up receiving two mini pods. a boat load of lens cleaning cloths and a brush, so a waste of money. Buy the camera, and purchase the case elsewhere.
Excerpt: After lots of information gathering, to buy a compact zoom camera suitable for travel, I found this one had all I needed in a camera to take on a trip to Europe. I purchased this camera, and I have had mixed feelings about it - yes, it has all the features I wanted: GPS, WiFi, big zoom, good battery life in a compact size that can slip in a pocket.....yet I am not impressed with a few features. 1) In auto mode, the pictures come out under-exposed.
Summary: The camera works great. Just as reviewed, point and click with intelligent mode which made for great pictures on a recent vacation. However, the package was absolute garbage. Here's what we actually got: 3 different camera cases. Yes, 3. None of which fit the camera. 2 Tripods. Yes, 2. Neither fit the camera. 1 extra battery and rapid charger which worked as advertised. 1 package of jelly shape bracelets. I have no idea why there were in here.
Excerpt: Hmmm, this is difficult. I own the RX100 and wanted another point n shoot that would have long zoom ability. I thought this camera would be the one. It wasn't! I think the RX100 has spoiled me, and I am now expecting all cameras to live up to that standard. What was most disappointing was the quality of the still picture at the longer zoom ranges of 25X and 30X. The JPEGS have a lot of noise in them.
Summary: We ordered this product and it came in the time span it said it would and was well wrapped up and delivered in a good condition, as well as being as described on the product description. I would use this Amazon seller again and recommend them. The camera does not have a view finder to take your photos, you have to rely on the screen on the back, which is fine ,except when the sun shines and you cannot see the subject properly to take the photo and just have to guess that...
Summary: A superb bit of kit. Multi function, nicely weighted for the hand, neat size, and good images captured more by luck than judgement. More by luck that judgement - yes - the camera is let down by the awful LCD screen that suffers from glare and reflections making it virtually unusable in direct sunlight or sunny surroundings.
